The main reason for the wheels nuts fitting seems to be the wheel thickness around the axle. I have some various wheels at home, but none of them have the same tire for an accurate comparison. If anyone has unmounted wheels, I would definitely like to see how the avid, aka, JC, Kyosho and other wheels measure. 3mm would greatly make the car feel different.
I was talking about the Jconcepts wheels that you buy for the B4.

Personally I run the proline front wheels and either proline rears or kyosho. I like for the wheel nuts to be hidden and this combo allowed that and keep my width even f/r.

Measured the stockers against the jconcepts mono both unmounted brand new. The monos are around 0.75 to 1 mm less track width than the white kyosho ones. I made marks on my setup board with both mounted and kept from the edge. Photos a bit blurry but you get what I did.

I actually just mounted up a tire/wheel ready to go, and measured middle seam to middle seam on the tire.

To his point Brandon, the JC Wheels are marketed as B4/RB5. They have a different part number for the 22.

Xray and Kyosho eh?
Check out the aluminium steering plate and rear bulkhead by exotek and maybe find some aluminium rear hubs.
See the 1st post for more details.

i put some aluminum hubs on for a test run and broke an axle within the first couple laps. I think it doesnt allow for any give and makes the axles prone to snapping easier. I quickly put the plastic ones back on before I got hit with another $18 axle tab.

I'm pretty sure your axles were out the door. Sometimes freak accidental breaks happen

Iv run alu hubs on both my RB5 and 6, and have never broken an axle. Probably already weak from an earlier tumble. I wouldn't worry about the alu hubs.

Just bought my first rb6 coming from a b4.1 and rb5 before that. Bought the exotec rear bulkhead and steering rack. Few questions... Are the rear hinge pin braces a must? some say yes and some say no. Also i have a ton of wheels and tires for a b4. I know the fronts will not work but will the rears with the pin work?
