Well I want to upgrade to brushless. But I just got the truck I wanted to get used to driving it first before I go buy a high dollar motor. I have emailed AE and thank fully they are actually local to me so I may drive in on Monday and see what they can do for me.

If you have to buy something you can dial back a brushless setup until you feel more ready. But it will by all means be for the best if you are not forced to shop yet. Nobody likes dropping unplanned piles of money off.

Well I've been looking at tacon motors and their in my price range. I just need to to find the right one with a good torque and top speed(I want to go fast but not 100mph) I want to burn rubber but not excessively burn it... So any ratios anyone wants to recommend? I'm look at a 6T-4000kv motor but my supervisor say go with lower kv and I can tune it as fast as a higher kv

I bought a leopard power system, for my AE SC10 2WD
System includes
-Leopard 3300Kv Brushless & Sensorless Motor
-Leopard 60A ESC V2
-Leopard Program Card

And I was wondering type of gearing I should have for optimal efficiency of power and torque delivery to the wheels. I current have a Venom 5000mAh 2s 20C battery and will probably stick with 2s Lipos but I may upgrade to a 40C(more power right?). I may buy one 3s just for s***s and giggles when I want it to scream down the street. Anyways so back to question. What do you guys think would be a goog gearing for this?

Sc10- no mods
Future mods- RPM A arms, roof light bar, lights, front&rear bumper front bumper light bar, tail lights. Pro line chevy silverado body. .....---- so nothing really that'll raise the weight of the vehicle.

Also what do y'all think the top speed on it would be?

Does anyone know that if the big bore shocks that come off the sc10 4x4 will fit onto a 2wd sc10?

My son and I run Viper VTX10's in our sct and love them. Viper Service and Warranty service is Great too. any issues ive had they have taken care of Fast. I love how easy they to program at the track with the progauge. weather your new to rc racin or a pro there are lots of programing options that are easy to understand and lots of help here on Rc tech for setup.

Yes sir, that would work for me also.
I actually almost just bought a Viper 9.5,the guy that was selling it and the few at the track that run them, say they are pretty smooth. And if they have good customer service then sounds like they might be around a while.

I have been running them for a couple of months. I run a converted 10 to 10.2, but couldnt justify the cost of the BB's everything else has been done to the truck. I run the soft springs all around, and switch up to the next spring up on the front on a high bite track. The only change is you have to space out the shock cap from the tower. I run the 4th hole on the tower in the front and back.

The big thing with these shocks are the fronts. They are about 1/2" taller, so I run with a lot of rebound on the front to keep it down. Other than that, they are fantastic, and they are half the price.

The other issue is weight. They aren't light, but I run modified so I have 3 1/2 ozs. and the FT weight strapped to the back anyway to hook up the 8.5 turn motor.

Good luck

I know it's inside here somewhere. To run big bores on my FT do I just get front shock tower and body mounts or do I need something else?

Carpet SC10

Running a SC10 on carpet for the winter months in Michigan. It seems like a blast, but the track is pretty small.
