I have no idea how you managed to do that, considering I've landed upsidedown at speed into things without similar issue, but I'm impressed.

As for repair, I would take it off, put it on some smooth and FLAT concrete (back down) with a bit of wood on top of it, then step on it. That should at least straighten it out a bit so it affects handling less than it does now. Then order a new one, as now that it has bent it will be easier to bend again and you won't get it back to perfect CNC form with the flattening out method.

While you're at it, since the shocks or at least the shock mounts probably took the hit, check the shocks and arms for any binding/leaking while you have the tower off, and repair as required.

I'm in the same situation and the Order Date of my optional outdrives is Wednesday, October 03, 2012 from amain. Any good chance they are with new material? They're still in my pitbox...

I took a head-on hit right at the top of the shock tower.

I disassembled the shocks last night and everything was fine (surprisingly)

Normal tapered white piston (not SP). The SP ones have the holes drilled at an angle.

What springs other than stock are people finding good to have in the pit box? (part # please if possible)

The softest ones are good. Pink I think

Funny you should ask, we have been trying out some different combinations of springs with good success. Right now my buggy weighs 6.8 lbs (under the limit, I know) and I'm running orange rears with pink fronts and it feels super locked in. We're finding that our rear springs are on the light side and our fronts are on the stiff side, that's why a lot of guys are liking the Kyosho springs.

interesting. Are there plans for springs in the future that work better with the vehicle?

Other than the kyosho springs, any others people are having success with like AE's?

Lastly, I was going to print out the manual and addendum, but noticed a few more instruction sets out there. Are those revisions to the manual or just easier-to-find info sheets?

What piston / oil combination are you using with those springs?

Cain, those are just info sheets. Same info is in the manual, but it's broken up on a few different pages. The new instructions have all the updated info (last time I checked).

Been watching A LOT of racing vids and reading about setups, trying to gather as much info as I can. Although we have 3 or 4 tracks around the area, no one has a 1/8 Buggy class yet, So a friend of mine suggested that I sell the Tekno Buggy and get the Tekno SCT thats coming out in January, very tempting idea..Soooooo Im contemplating that decision...but other than that just playing the waiting game...Any comments on the Buggy to SCT switch??? Also thought about converting it but I thought I read something on this thread that said it wouldnt be ROAR legal...I might be wrong

You could make it ROAR legal, but you're going to spend a good deal of cash. The non-roar-legal comment you're probably referring to is the quick-and-easy conversion which presumably involves only body posts and a few other small things.

I have actually been thinking about selling my EB and getting the SCT, simply because I need more time practicing before I am EB48-worthy. Also, I am cheap, and i've got everything I need in the buggy. From what you described, I'd say that's a great idea. If you have the money, though, keeping both and trying to get 1/8 buggy going in your area would be the thing to do. Plus, your buggy would be a decent spare-parts-source in a pinch.
