We should have the parts soon, so if you want to get in on the replacement discount, have your receipt ready (i.e. scanned and ready to send to us). We'll let you know as soon as we get them in. Thanks.

wait, all these updates are included in current sold kits, isn't it?
I bought one from towerhobbies last weeks, and that's the updated version?

Correct, the current stock of kits are all updated, so your's is good to go. The update we're talking about is for EB48's sold before 11-01-2012.

It is a Tekin T8 2650 buggy motor/RX8, on 3s. Packs from the video were a couple Hyperion 35c 5000mah or Gens Ace that have been sitting around a while. I was way undergeared(apparently by 2 teeth on the pinion possibly).
The car got better wih each of he 4 packs I ran so far, looking forward to gearing up a tooth and throwing in my Maxamps/Thunder Power packs today, I'll see if I can get somebody to film a bit later.........

I have a favor to ask....

Does anyone who races at SDRC have a setup station and mind hooking me up with a one-time adjustment? I've just finished my build, and I'm using Danny's setup sheet. Last step is to get the toe and camber right but it's totally off. I've done it by eye, but I'd sure love for it to be dialed...

I hate being a mooch but I just don't have the cash to be investing in a setup station :/ I am willing to pay a few bucks though, if needed.

Let me know plz

Joey

I have one. The problem with the setup station (Well not really an issue with the setup station) is that it sits snugly against the hub. When mounting your wheels and tires, the camber will appear to be inaccurate because the wheels do not mount snugly against the hub and tend to have a fair amount of play.

So do you not use it then?

What do you do instead?

I'm probably going to cease using it. Any of the quick camber gauges that you press up against the wheel should work.

If you want to measure toe, you can do so with the setup station after you measured your camber at the wheels. You would only need to install the setup station onto the front wheels. Just remember that toe and camber have an effect on one another, so you will need to go back and forth a couple of times.

If you know a bit of trigonometry, you can calculate your toe with a ruler.

tan 0 = y/x

0 = the angle
x = the diameter of the wheel
y = the difference in distance between points taken from the front and rear of the wheel.

Again, you are welcome to use the setup station if you like.
