I in no way hope you took what I said as you being a member of the TLR company as insult or a way of me saying what the company is doing wrong. I'm a TLR fan and as everyone else on here just wish we would have something for either past or present.

Can we atleast get a picture of the prototype?

We need something to keep us holding on.

Or had never released a 4wd chassis. But they have released 2 of them and they continue to race with both of them.. So if they are not interested in the class why do they still race the class? And if the old theory that the cars cant be improved on is true. Why not re-release the car so us mear mortals (the ones who buy TLR products and keep TLR in business) can buy the car? And complete our fleet of TLR brand loyalty... IF it can work for Associated why not TLR? The companies are very similar.

The produced 2 touring cars, but they no longer race them as a team. I dont expect them to release a touring car. But the optics behind a team the races 4wd buggy would suggest they do so to sell kits? So sell me a KIT! !!!! LOL
I agree with you, I can't figure out why so many companies are throwing their hat in the 4x4 buggy market. I spend way more time on this forum than i should, and a common discussion on 4x4 buggies is how dead the class is at the local tracks. I am a TLR fan I think the company has some great folks there, I mean Frank Root coming on here is awesome. When I had my 22's Frank would always answer my questions and help out. TLR is spot on right now saying we listened here is the new 22 2.0. They come right out and say yeah these were the issues no beating around the bush. I would definately consider giving the new car a run. I like what they are doing, perfect the 22 before getting back in the 4x4 market fully. From a business stand point I don't see them losing much money right now without a 4x4. Releasing the xxx 4x4 for another go would not be cost effective right now either. I think the factory drivers would be harder to attract not having a 4x4 at all so they run the old car. I have been anxious to see a TLR 4x4, but I think I see their angle from a business stand point and it makes sense. Don't get me wrong I know they got something cool up sleeve time will tell....

I agree with what was said, it's all about the business standpoint. Why would any company do something that could cost them money and not make them money, no matter how bad we want something.

I just don't get all the 4x4 is dead talk. Is there anybody that races at a track that gets a decent turnout that really sees this? Not the you and your six buddies raceway, tracks with 3 to 4 heats of mod buggy every week, but no wheelers. I just can't see it.

Why do think there were 4 different sizes of shock shafts announced in the TLR new products page?

I wonder.......

around here lots of 2wd and SC, but few 4x4 buggies the past few seasons.

Those are probably the shafts with the new coating on them that fit the 22b 2.0, 22T and 22SCT

I'm probably totally wrong but you could speculate that with the release of the 22.2 that Frank is on the board more to field questions about that car and since he is here anyway takes the time to pop into other threads especially the ones related to what TLR is doing. If I were in his position I would want to come to this thread to see if anyone actually knew anything real. And assuming that they are actually working on something his appearance in this thread keeps us all on the edge of our seats or gives renewed hope which gives them more time.

Just speculation. I think even if we had no other info the comment at EUROS alone is enough to cement that TLR has a new wheeler in the works.
