Since a few users are starting to use Method RC's products, it's time for it's own thread.

I ordered two bodies late last week, they showed up well packaged yesterday via USPS.

Once you mount it, the first thing users will notice is how much room they have under the fender wells - they are enormous! This body will fit your tires up to the ROAR legal width, at full travel, without hitting. The downside to this roominess is if you were using velcro between the sides of the body and the nerfs, you won't be able to do that anymore because the body is also wider in the middle.

There is an included optional add on wing molded into the rear "skirt". If someone wants to use it, it mounts on TOP of the bed, not on the tailgate.

Not included in my early production body, but available on the Method RC Facebook page is this cutout guide:

Note the optional chin spoiler.

Broke a rear shock in the main but still managed a 3rd place over all.

This was my test body so my paint was not very fancy. I am having a wrap made for the Hellcat body through Stuck on Racing graphics (http://stuckonracinggraphics.com/) and will be available for the Hellcat body to have what ever you want printed on it.

Larger side plates to work with track numbers better. Don't forget to bent the tops of the plate so they are straight with the air flow.

Here is a picture of what I did with the rear cut out. It is bent down and helps create a little rear down force.

Also the rear winglets I made to help further increase downforce over the rear of the body.

How are these bodies holding up? I have been running the Proline flo-tek body and really like the look of it, but even without cutting out the openings the front of the body cracks much sooner than others I have ran even if reinforced.

Standard SC body stuff for me is to use shoe goo in various area's on the body. Not really sure how it would hold up with out it, but I am always amazed when crashing a 6lbs short course truck that the body does not explode anyway.

This will deffinatly be the next sc body I order!

I have to say, it's a pretty nice looking body and looks quite universal as for fitting onto many different trucks! Also, because of how the Losi SCTE body mounts are placed, the pins often hit the hood scoop on some of the more popular bodies and this doesn't look like it'd be a problem with this one. I like what you did with the rear side dams. Looks nice, not super innovative (not that there's much more innovation that can come from a body anyway lol) but nice as for options that not all bodies have. Thanks for sharing.

I did some testing with this body when we had a high speed sweeper after a 90ft. straight on my SC10 4x4. I had a stock body, Proline Flotek with everything cut out, and the Method body above. Making laps and then swapping out the body. Hands down this body was the best. The Proline body was very easy to flip and would high side where the Method body stay's planted on the ground. I feel like I can make better time with this body around the track.

Had a good weekend and traded some paint with the wall and other racers at the 3rd Annual PRCR Invitational. :D

Is the lexan more similar to jconcepts or proline in thickness and feel? And has anyone fit one to an scte?

ChrisAttebery 03-05-2012 09:39 AM

Do these bodies come with window masks and protective film for the outside?

Thanks,

Chris
