Yes, and yes.

That's a great question, but I'm going to have to take a guess at it, because I don't have a new and unpainted JC or PL body to check it against. So take this for what it's worth:

Fully trimmed, my Method body is 22 grams heavier than either my Jconcpets Raptor.

Well, I have been running the Pro-Line Flow-Tek body on my SC-R and SCTE for a couple months. On the SC-R the body rubs the front tires because of the way they beveled the outer half of the fenders. It has never lined up with the rear body posts on either truck very well because the roll bar detail was in the way.

The HellCat looks like it should cure both of these issues.

They have a Free Shipping offer running until the 12th. I ordered 2 bodies to try out. I'll let you guys know what I think of them when I get them.

Cameron,

Did you notice any rubbing with the Flow-Tek? My trucks will occasionally make a weird bobble in our sweeper. I wonder if it is from the tire rubbing. On my SC-R I have a ~5/8" x 1" patch of paint that is completely rubbed away on the outer fender.

The Proline body was very easy to flip and would high side where the Method body stay's planted on the ground. I feel like I can make better time with this body around the track.

BTW: Thanks Craig!

I run the front of my body one hole lower than recommended so I do get rub on the front vents at times. Really depends on the jumps or corners if I am throttle up and the tires are stretching (4X4) or off throttle. The body is wider than the flotek and I know the SCR runs at max width so this body should give you the front wheel clearance in the fenders until you bottom out. The rear has plenty of clearance.

Post up some pictures when you get it done. :D

I ask because, to me, the jconcepts are much firmer and heavier duty feeling, and longer lasting. I have three raptors here I have beaten the SNOT out of for a season, one is my fiance's and she is hardly graceful (niether am I) and those barely show any structural damage. On the contrary, I have destroyed a flotek in an afteroon. I will try one, because of the free shipping, I can't say no.

I got my two bodies today. I gave away a flotek out of frustration knowing I had these coming. Cant wait to try them out.

If that's all it takes to make you happy, you'll be happy.

I have that problem with my older Jconcepts bodies too. I am max legal width and the Method bodies clear by a bunch.

Though I would share this info from Method. I don't know if the "other" guys do this but after you drive one of these at high speed on a track you will be glad they did.

Method uses a digital design process that includes computational fluid dynamics (CFD). This allows us to develop bodies that have great aerodynamic performance and look fantastic. Here are a few screen grabs from past simulations

Just got my body :)

Cameron: can you post some pics of the rear bumper area of your body so I can get an idea how you cut it out?

Cameron Kellogg 03-07-2012 09:46 AM

I looked and I don't have a good picture of the rear of the truck so I will post some up tonight.

Just ordered a hellcat and sabre. They both look promising

dznutz 03-07-2012 12:53 PM

Just placed an order for 2 of those Hellcat Bodies. Can't wait to try them out!
