DDoS fits the bill for the type of error and the way the site was acting. I started an order and it bailed on me. I ended up having to go to Tower because I need the stuff this week and I wasn't sure when A Main would be back up.

I know this is a stretch, but you could always order stuff the old fashion way--BY TELEPHONE!

I bet they consider a continuity of operations plan now that this occurred. It's happening to a lot places outside the normal victims in this day and age. It's amazing the value of data when things like this happen. Using cloud based services like Amazon web services and akamai allow for high availability in scenarios like this.

Vito and patrick - We just (and I mean just!) made some changes that allow us to access the site internally, so our customer service department will be able to place orders taken over the phone.

Our toll-free number is 800-705-2215.

Wow, glad I got through on line with my order. Thanks for persevering guys! Shows its shipped too, that really sucks though. Why the hell would anyone want to attack Amain, anyways? Financial info?
