I think it's not as popular because SCB is sort of an in-between class. Short-course trucks and buggies are fairly distinct from each other, but SCB combines aspects of both, and racers tend to be purists.

I've always thought buggies looked kind of meh. I've never really taken to them because I like more realistic looking vehicles. I raced an RC10 just because that's all there was.

Once SCT's came out I was all over that. Now SCB's. That is the class that should be banging. You've got the open wheel buggy combined with some realism.

They remind me of class 1 desert buggies

thats what i was thinking, i always hated the look of the 1/8 buggys, but i finally got a tekno sct, and eb... i love both, but i wish I could get a scbe type body onto my sct... or even some type of rock racer type look...

not many companies made a scb though.. such a shame.

That's why I got that one instead of a normal racing buggy. I had to do a ton of work to it, though. Arrma's 1/10-scale vehicles are not particularly durable in stock form.

Has anyone put lights on their SCBE yet? I got a set in the works. I bought some TOP SECRET goodies to make some light whips for the back of mine. After Finals are over I hope to have time to fully trick mine out. I think I like working on my RC more than I like driving it. I definitely know I like the looks of it.

I would have to disagree about the 1/10th scale not being durable. The Senton is the same size as any other 1/10th scale short course truck and it is pretty darn durable. Buggies however like the one you own are the weakest by design. No room for cages or body to protect parts.

The plastic Arrma uses is prone to stress fractures, unlike (for example) the plastic used by RPM which you can bend the crap out of and it will stay in one piece. That's good for stiffness but bad for durability.

I think he was referring to the Arrma 1/10, 2wd, TVP design chassis. The Senton is based on the 1/8 Arrma platform. AKA a Typhon 1/8 buggy with a truck body.

Not really what I was looking for. I want to see if anyone put lights on their SCBE. There wasn't even an SCBE in that thread.

After finals I'll work on my SCBE and update some photos.
