These bodies look better without a wing in my opinion.

Personally I do prefer it with a wing but as you guys have shown it also looks good without it .I am getting a little confused with the Ali chassi braces for the scbe.Do all the scte ones fit apart from the 3.0 model? Also I am wandering if another brand of wing might help with durability. The losi one is prity brittle and not very flexible.

I never broke the wing itself. I broke the wing mount -- repeatedly. A little surprising considering the wing liked to pretend it was a shovel whenever it touched the ground, digging-in and bringing the entire vehicle to a very abrupt stop. However, there's a lot more plastic in the wing than there is in the wing mount, so I guess it's not too surprising that the wing mount broke first.

I'm not familiar with the aluminum chassis braces, but I can say with confidence that you don't need them. The chassis braces are more of a concern for the TLR SCTE kit, which has a chassis with lots of machined pockets to reduce weight. The solid slab of aluminum used by the non-TLR vehicles is plenty strong on its own. You can't go wrong upgrading the suspension blocks, though; the stamped-steel ones are surprisingly easy to bend.

Yes the wing mount is a bit of a strange design.I wander why they didn't use a proper wing mount rather than the little skinny plastic posts it mounts onto.If mine snaps off I will look into fitting a proper wing mount. It might mean loosing the cage from the rear of the truck but aslong as you can keep the main cage mountings I am sure there is a way.The chassi braces are just me getting carried away with hop ups as usual.Do you mean the turnbuckle s when you say steering blocks?I have read they are prity weak. One hop up that is meant to be really worth while is the king heads centre diff mount.

Because they wanted it to look like a scale-accurate tubular rollcage.

Not steering blocks, suspension blocks. Also called toe blocks or lower suspension pivots.

I haven't broken any original steering or drivetrain parts on my SCBE.

I don't like this avc.I dissarme it as stated in the manual but had hardly no steering.Popped in a non avc spektrum receiver and it's perfect.

I don't like AVC either. It tries to do too much. I have gyros installed on a few vehicles, and they help a lot because they only try to do one thing.

Yeh you really don't need it on a car like this or any car really.Personaly I think it's just a gimmick.I think I will definitely need a motor fan as even on 2s it runs prity hot but it was a very humid day here yesterday. Also having the drivers in it doesn't help as there's no where for the heat to go or cooling to get in. I have taken the beadlock rings off aswell as they are a bit of a grass trap. The DE racing mudguards did a brilliant job of keeping the rear shocks and driveshafts clean tho.

I like gyros for RWD trucks, and for very fast touring cars in case I need to panic-brake to avoid hitting something in the road.

Yes I can imagine in rwd it be prity handy but I would rather them make an invisible bubble around the car to stop my 5yr old from driving them straight into walls lol.

I have taken the bodywork off so I can get the drivers out.I am going to cut the plastic off behind the divers to let some heat out but I think it looks prity cool like this.

The "interior" panel bolts on with 4 screws, I think. You shouldn't need to take off the rest of the bodywork to remove the "interior" panel.

I doubt I would of got the panel out without removing the bodywork.Even with the bodywork off I had to really flex the cage to get the panel out.I am going to cut the back of the panel off just behind the rear mounting screws.Hopefully that will let some heat out because even on 2s it was prity hot.I will order a motor fan on payday.I will have to get one that slips over the motor.I wanted one the mounts to a carbon plate that bolts to the centre diff housing but they seem impossible to find.Well I can find them but they seem to be discontinued by every company that made them.
