here is the item number on the bay 170749144811 it says all brand new, as is the SC8e. I have a box starter, set of servos and a 4PL so I'm kind of leaning towards the nitro buggy now. Thanks for helping me decide, I need to know by this afternoon.

Between the two, if you really feel like you prefer the RC8B (I believe that is what he has there correct or whatever the previous model RC8 was than what is current) and the value of your vehicle matches up well with what he has, go for what you like.

Thanks guys, I think I may look towards this one. Got a response from HPI and theirs won't be available for a few months.

And I am from Central Texas. No REAL hobby shop close to me. Heck, I even have to go 30 miles to find Traxxas parts, so nearly all my shopping is done online. Occassionally go up to Mikes north of Dallas, but not very often.

heck in general if the vehicle is built durable, you shouldn't need much parts anyway. Go with the common suspension parts and maybe ask around about any other weak areas to have that item on hand.

Oh, and caster racing does have some nice vehicles for sure.

True on the durable vehicle deal, but where can I purchase a caster? They don't have any stock on their website and don't see any online retailers with them either.

Christmas was good to us this year.

We should have stock within 2 weeks. Asia is closed for CNY so there is a delay. As a positive note, we ship by plane, not ship, so nothing is out of stock for months at a time.

We picked up a few dealers, but they do not have stock yet. Either way, all are good signs for us as long as you are temporarily patient.
