I would imagine the turnbuckles to be different lengths as well if the arms are different lengths.

Not sure about all the different parts between the truck and buggy besides front shocks and springs, chassis, arms, and shock towers. I would assume there are quite a bit more.
add rear shocks, buggy and truck use the same rear spring but the shock body and shaft length are not the same. Yes, TB length, cvd/cva bone length, and the battery strap if that matters

Finally had a chance to get a few good hours of practice tonight at the local indoor track and try out my suspension set up. Truck feels DIALED IN! I was turning my best laps since I've gotten back into the hobby. Can't wait to get a race in.

Shocks finally feel perfect, this is how they're set up for a high-traction, short indoor clay track.

Front
Gold AE springs
#2 Pistons
30wt AE Oil
5 limiters
Zero preload

Rear
Green AE Springs
27.5wt Losi Oil
2 limiters
11mm preload

Default Am I mixing apples and oranges?

I see the Duratrax Evader RTR Brushless 2.1GHZ going for the same amount as the Associated RC10T4.1 at Tower ($250). Why would I buy the Duratrax? My understanding is that it is more or less based on a 10yr old Losi product more suited for bashing than racing.

[I intend to race at a local dirt track in the spring, first time off road after several years on road. ]

Pretty much any truck you buy can be competitive. That being said, I could only see someone buying the Duratrax over the Associated if they had brand loyalty for them, or owned a vehicle with compatible parts. If this doesn't apply to you, then get the T4.1. It's competitive out of the box with a few minor tweaks.

Has anyone tried to use the Kyosho Velvet shocks on the T4.1? Not the Big Bores but the standard ones? Since I run Kyosho I have an extra set and wanted to give it a try on my son's T4.1... Personally, there is no comparison when it comes to the smoothness/quality of the Kyosho vs TA shocks... Just wondering if if anyone has tried it out and what were they thoughts...

There's a reason you don't see Duratrax winning races.

As far as mounting the K shocks on a T4, I honestly have not idea if if you need to use different mounting hardware, or if you use the AE stuff or K stuff.

To me it's a sin to put K stuff on my AE.....but I do have TLR springs on my buggy..

Ordered most of the stuff to convert my sc10rs to a t4. Last time I checked the track hobby shop had the rest. With all these 22t coming out gotta represent AE. Stupid question, I got my sc10ft working really good but will the setup transfer over to the t4(for the most part)?

G'day all just a quick question?

Does AE still make a complete steering assemble, including rack and top bulkhead?
For t4 and b4, I can't find a part number

I have had one , so I know they exist but for the life of me I can't find part number. I know so done out there will the know the number

Cheers

John
