Vato, which gears do you strip the most? I'm also running mamba 5700 in my pede, but I'm running it with 6 cells and I haven't stripped anything yet. I find it has enough punch with 6 cells, it can do wheelie easily also. My motor actually gets pretty warm after running through a few packs. I'm using 87t spur and 15t pinion. Any idea what's the smallest pinion I can put on a pede?

if you get the wide pede conversion, do you need extended axles too?

have you tried running a smaller spur and bigger pinion? that will make it faster and keep the wheels on the ground better

I have not tried running bigger pinion, I run it on my local track which has lots of turns. I rarely ever use full throttle on the track, it's hard to even to keep it going straight. I guess gearing it up will keep it from pulling wheelies, but so will loosening the slipper. And the motor is running pretty warm, gearing it up will probably make it hotter and reduce my run time.
Also I have wheelie bar, which helps the preventing the transmission case from being teared up and adds some weight for more traction.

Also I just pulled open the whole rear end since I thought the diff felt a little weird which made the truck harder to controls. Turns out one side of the wheel has bearings and the other side has bushings (I got the truck used). After my rpm carriers/bearings come, I'll see how much better it handles.

16/87 and 2s2p li-ions, the main planet gear gets toasted every now and then! on 6cell i never striped a gear either.

if it gets warm already then yes it might ruin run time. but if it stays below thermal temps it wont make that much a difference will it?

May be if you don't trim any matterial off the transmission leave it stock which is it's stronger form. But I'm even thinking of getting a alum. case but the weight of it? The 5700 is fast enough for me, keeping it planted is enough of a challenge!

quick tip........ DONT DRIVE IN RAIN. if its wet, avoid the puddles. a little water wont kill a motor, but keep it dry. thast the best way. does your complex have a parking garage? those are awsome places to drive pedes. i know with mine, i will go as fast as possible, slam the brakes and turn, the nget hard on the gas again and do huge spins for like 50 feet. haha

i wouldnt recomend somethign that has constant currents going through it and constantly heating up and being used. steering servos dont get hot. esc's do. plus if somethign seeps in and blacks the tiniest current, its done for.
