Castle BEC / Y adapter setup
#1
I have a Savox 1258 with a Castle Sidwinder ESC and 5700 Castle motor. When I originally hooked it up, not enough juice was getting to the servo. I bought the castle BEC and hooked it up. That solved my servo issue, however it makes my SC10 cog off the gate. I disconect the BEC from the setup and the motor works great, but back to the servo issue that way. A friend sugested a Y adapter.
I would rather not fry anything so I am wondering if anyone has any advice on the proper setup to just run the servo off the BEC and bypass the ESC all together.
Thanks in advance.

As long as the red wire from the esc is disconnected, the internal bec is not working. Using a servo extender is the easiest way to do this, that way you dont have to modify your esc wire permanently. Try connecting the sidewinder to the castle link and downgrading the firmware back a few, it seemed to work for me and many others to eliminate the cog with a high volt servo.
