Default Recommended Vendetta sc motor

Just purchased a Duratrax Vendetta SC for offroad 1/18 carpet racing this winter. I would like to upgrade the motor for more giddy up & go. Recomendations? ESC?

Thx

Castle micro system or the traxxas micro vxl.
On a side note where is the indoor track in Minnesota?

Default vendetta sc

Im running a hobbywing 35A ESC and a Castle CM36 4600KV motor. I love the ESC for this application. Super cheap and easy to setup and program. Just as good as the castle at less than 1/2 the price. The motor im running is mega overkill and has been discontinued by Castle. I would recommend running something around 3500-4000KV. Look on hobbypartz.com. They have tons of options there. My buddy also has a vendetta sc and runs it strictly indoor on carpet and loves running an outrunner motor in his. I can say it seems perfect for this application as well. Outrunners have a slight drag brake effect when your not on the throttle. His truck runs super cool and has plenty of power. He's using this extact motor http://www.hobbypartz.com/alpha-400-...ess-motor.html .

Thanks. I was thinking about the Castle versions. I may even try out a hobbypartz motor. The track is set up every other Sunday at the Mermaid in Mounds View, MN. No dates yet for the season but it will start in Octish. They run 1/18 carpet trucks, all pulling trucks & helicopter courses. Check out my vids.
