Pinion?
Im running the losi 22t with the stock spur and a 10.5 turn sensored motor. What size pinions do you think I could use without having the motor overheat?

thank you
I just bought the kit a few days ago, worked on it at a leisurely pace and now I'm done with everything except for the shocks.

Low kv outrunner 6S 22T
Hi, I asked a bunch of questions a couple of weeks ago and wanted to report back a bit on the status of my project.
The 38/70 gearing I was planning to run, is not going to work without modifications, as the pinion does not fit between the motor mount screws (see pic). Mesh wise there's enough space, so with some washers to move the spur about 2mm outward it could be done, but I think I'm going to try some smaller pinions first. I had ordered a 36T too, but that didn't work either - I'm guessing 35T would fit, but have to wait until that arrives. 35/70 gearing would still yield a nominal no-load wheel speed of 51 mph.
I also fooled around a bit with a dremel and the battery trays, so I can mount a Mamba Max Pro in the back on the chassis and in front of that the 6S Nano-Tech ufoDziner is running (225g, 1.3Ah*22.2V=28.9Wh), or two of my M8's 3S Nano-Techs in series (260g, 1.4Ah*22,2V=31,1Wh). I'm still waiting on a BEC, as the Mamba Max Pro's internal BEC is too weak to drive the servo and pulls down the Rx without a Rx cap. As this is just for fun, I'm also putting in a gyro
Cheers!

Little update, didn't have the patience for my smaller pinions to arrive: with some round-headed motor mount screws instead of the stock ones and without the washers, the 36T pinion fits in and can be lined up with the spur at its original position. 38T requires more low profile screws or the spur to move outwards.

Just curious is there a 2.0 coming soon? Want to buy the truck, but saw a huge price drop at amain. If so maybe I'll wait.

Hi, it's still work in progress - just couldn't wait to see the wheels spinning . With the 930kv motor geared 36/70 on 4" wheels, nominal (22.2V) no-load wheel speed will be ~52 mph; with a fully charged pack I think it should be able to come close to that under load. I will be using this one for some fun in the park (grass/dirt roads) with my kids - not for high-speed street use, so 50-ish mph should be more than enough.
I'll also be dressing it up as a buggy , got a proline body for 5 bucks on ebay and I really like how sleek and nimble it looks with it.
Just wondering if I should swap the position of the battery and ESC, so the battery is in the back and there's more weight on the rear wheels. Any ideas?

ok, what seems to be the popular setups for medium to high traction tracks? Im new to the 22t, also besides the steering rack and shock parts, any other 2.0 parts fit the truck? Also, do I want the inclined front spindles or does TLR make trailing's for the truck, thanks for any help.

the only currently available spindles designed for the 22T are inline; no trailing available that directly fit the 22T
