I am running the truck in mid motor configuration with a std. size battery pack, I have a short servo so not sure I can move servo back. How far back dose it move it.
I believe the servo is moved back 6 or 7mm back for the exotek setup.

My question would still be, "how many times can you replace a $5 plastic part before justifying getting a $70 aluminum placebo?"

I fail to see how its a placebo. I see and hear of a lot of people who are having really good luck with the exotek.
The stock rack has its flaws, I haven't had issues with either my 22SCT and 22T stock rack/slider locking or ceasing. they just wear out over time, but its a $9 part and easy to change.
BUT, some people do have issues with the rack/housing, and the exotek seems to be a good alternative.

I was skeptical at first, but it seems that a lot of people love them to death, just ask carranza; he digs his.

$70 is steep though, but from what I have heard, TLR is testing steering rack similar to the exotek design. it sounds like it will eventually become a tuning option from TLR.

I see the 22t being discontinued but the 22 series has a ways to go. Soon tlr will launch the 22t 2.0 and that will add longevity of parts support for origional 22t owners.

I would recommend it, it improves durability.

Arrow My 22T Vidio shot this past weekend slick wet track

The cam follows my car the bright yellow one starting 3rd on the grid. Top 2 were TLR 22T. I was using Casper's setup DD,s front and Flipouts rear. It was slick you can see the rain later in the vid.

This messages is mainly directed at Frank or Casper, but I'll take any accurate information. Will TLR be releasing the new shock shafts for the 22T as well? If not, what are the length of the 22T shafts? I've seen the part # for the SCT shafts listed with their length and am curious if I can make them work with my 22T as I run both internal and external limiters anyway. Thanks.

Frank just posted these would work on the 22T. Rears are the same for both trucks. The rear buggy shafts are used on the front of the 22t. So these are the ones you want.

I dig all three of mine. If I have to choose a car to not have it on it would be the 22SCT. I noticed a tad bit of drop off once I installed it but that was because I needed to add ackermen shims once I did that it was good to go.

Hoonigan is a joke and hopefully banned for life...

I was disappointed when I heard it was being discontinued, so I did the same thing you did and just bought one anyway. If we want TLR to release a 22T 2.0 we need to keep interest alive in the current model. Plus the price is hard to beat. This is actually the second time I have purchased one, I had one a while back and started the build but sold it to buy a B4.2. Now the B4.2 just sits in the closet and I have a 22T and a 22 2.0 on the way.

Nice!! That track looks like a lot of fun! The closest track to where I'm at is about 45 minutes away, I have never driven on one but would love to eventually. My boys are starting to get more interested in the hobby and I am setting up my old FT T4.1 for my wife as she is getting into the hobby also. Eventually I would like to be able to race, right now I'm just having fun building kits and getting my family interested in the hobby.
