Fairly simply test of ball cups is how easily can you pop them on with just your fingers, if it does not take much effort that is a poor quality ball cup.
The Losi 22 ball cups are extremely easy to pop on, Lunsford Super Duty cups require pillars unless you want a sore hand.

I just picked up a 22t rtr for a sweet deal, only 400. Anyway I have taken it two tracks already and my only complaints are the stock steering serv o doesn't turn fast enough and the eco power battery from a main doest haven't enough punch.. what are my options as far as servo and battery upgrades.. and what else should I look into upgrading.. I will strickly be racing.

Maybe its just us with the decent ball cups, or we just don't hit pipes and blame it on the ballcups...lol.
Esc I am using Speed Passion with good results and promatch racing on battery packs. No complaints here.

I just bought 1256 for it 0.07@138 i think at 6v...my r10 pro esc only puts out 5.8, and super short arm dictated super speedy 6v servo..
