Ok, I was just curious... I was sure there was a reason behind the design!

Are they just popping off for no reason? Or is it due to impact?
If it was from an impact, remember the balls pop off for a reason to deflect energy. If you permanently fix them then that stress will go elsewhere and possibly break other parts.

I lost one of my steering rods the first time at the track as well. I am still waiting for the track to receive replacement rods. Stuck using a associated one for now. Just thought I would add to the trouble with steering rod poping question.

Love the truck though and have none pop off since. Just unlucky to loose that one I guess.

Can't wait to get a properly painted body for this thing! Stock Nats is calling my name

Its hard to imagine since those lil buggars are so damn hard to pop on! But it happens I am sure! So you weren't able to find it after it popped off? Bummer... I had a wheel nut fall of this last weekend, but I found it! Hard to believe a tiny black nut on brown dirt but I did! Should have bought the blue J Concepts nuts I know...

Thanks for your help; and being patient with me LOL.
I've never heard of an e-clip tool? Do you have a link to one? I just use needle-nose pliers or my fingers.

In one of the threads on here, somone posted that they just use a plastic baggie. Put it around the part you're removing the clip from, pry it off with the hobby knife, and the clip ends up in the bag.
