Maybe check all the solder connections. there could be a problem with the power capacitor or even a broken wire on the motor wires inside that you can't see. As for the gringing type noise, can you hear where it's coming from. If it did it with a different motor check the bearings in the rear hubs. I'v had a few bearings go out and there was some wabble but they were still free. Idk.

take the motor out, roll it across the table and pick it up and see if the rear tires keep on spinning or if it makes the same noise

Have you tried the Racers Edge .5 degree rear hubs? They made a huge improvement on my B4. I would try simple first, like checking camber, an unglued tire, etc. Also check to make sure there are no broken parts, such as a cracked arm or rear hub. Hope this helps.

G'Day Guys,

This is probably a stupid question, but does the new shock rebuild kit fit the old shock bodies?

Thanks

Depending on his surface this might hurt instead of help. Increasing toe helps on power stability but can make weird stuff happen at turn entry/mid corner.

The new rebuild kits do fit the old shock bodies, are supposed to assemble a little better.

how does 1 differentiate the new rebuilds from old. and new shocks from old. lil late in the game here but i've been runnin a xxx for last 2mths.

i am usually shavin .3mm off my big spacers so that the stack matches the recess in the shock body itself. is this issue being worked out in new kits perhaps?

could try movin rear shock out on arm to sure up rearend.

Obviously the new body and new clips are the way to go, however just the clips alone should be fine.

The new clips have 1,2,3, or 4 very small dots on the square retainer clip. These dots should be located on the edge opposite the side of the slotted side. These dots indicate which mold they were made from, along with indicating that they are from the new molds, rather than the molds from the late 80's

I don't think AE considers that an issue. It is intended to compress the o-rings slightly. Losi's cartridges do the same thing.
