RPM makes a good camber gauge, and it won't take a big dent out of your RC funds. Also at times if your wheels camber is off the car can handle differnt form left to right, so it will help make the feel of the car a little more balanced with the way it handles (although there are other things that will effect that as well, but having the cars camber and toe the same it will help a lot with in the turn traction, and stright line tracking)

I have one of the camber guages, but I rarely take the time to get it out of my box at the track only at home. At the track there is always a nice 90 degree soda can around that is too easy to use instead.

Default Help Please

I'm not new to racing but have just got back into it after 5 years. I am going the off-road route this time and have recently purchased a B4 and a GTB with a Novak 10.5. I have just finished putting it together and after installing the motor and esc and testing it it seems there is too much breaking once going to nuetral. I have been playing wih the drag brake settings but does not seem to help.

What am I missing where did I go wrong? please help

make sure nothing is binding or that the screws in that hold the diff case to the motor plate arent overtightened. They should be in enough just past enough to thread into the plastic. Any tighter and it binds the diff.

Make sure you have program the ESC correctly and after your done go to throttle EPA on the transmitter and reduce the brake EPA until you are happy with .

Well it sounds like its his neutral brake that he has a concern with.
Are you positive you have adjusted the right brake setting on the esc?
I have a GTB in my b4 and had to add neutral brake to mine, so i would make sure you set it up correctly and make sure your gear mesh is good.

I did play with drag brake (green and blue led's) and set it all the way down to 1 flash. That is the right setting to play with right?

The green and blue is the Dead Band setting, you need to adjust the blue and amber setting

Flip the sheet back over (pg.5) and it describes how to adjust the minimum and drag brake on the left

This was my problem.

Thanks all for the quick responses

1 more question what size pinon should I use with the novak 10.5 with the stock spur for a short high traction track?

with the stock 84 spur, i would guess at starting at a 25 to be on the safe side.
Im running a 32/78 with my 13.5 novak, on a small med. traction clay track and not breaking a sweat like 130 at the most.
