Do any of you have any experience with the JConcepts J82? Anyone driven a T4, B4 and J82? How would you compare the 3 cars?

The thing that bothers me about the J82 is the limited selection of bodies and wheels.
I have driven one and they are just like a truck but with less on power steering. Basically they push. Fun to look at though and it seems every weekend someone is getting one at my local track. People like them because they drive like a truck but look like a buggy.

I really dig my J82...it's like a "halfway" point between a 10th scale truck and buggy. It feels a little more nimble than a normal T4 but less than a B4, however it handles rough stuff better than the smaller car.

So would there be an advtange to with one of these over a truck, or is it mostly just about the looks of the car?

If there is a small advantage it would be more nimble at slower speeds.

I strongly recommend switching to the J82 body so long as its OK at the track you race at or with the people you race with.

I have a J82 body on my T4. Everything else is still a T4.

Just the body alone seems to make my T4 easier to drive. I think its because I have a better view of what the front wheels are doing compared to the rest of the chasis.

Its also nice to have a tight buggy body attached with velcro because all of my electronics stay cleaner and the body lasts many times longer than a truck body.

^^ I would guess that the buggy style shell has a little less drag as the air flows over the car, but not into the under side of the body like with the truck shell.

Dude I'm not gonna tell you every little detail of my T4 so I can see a replica in a week. I made an adjustable wheely bar that uses a servo to change its height, and no I'm not gonna post any pictures for you.

Hahah, the HV-Maxx went to the E-Revo and it has a MM ESC and Novak 6.5r motor now. Its all I have for it, but I just got a DX2 (little easier to carry around for the Micro-DT and E-Revo than the 3pk is) so I can't get the tranny parts for another week.

Getting a Sidewinder ESC for the B4, so it will be running the same 5700 but with a Sidewinder ESC now.

Here is a pic of my T4 from last weekend, not sure who to give photo credit to, but I really like this shot!
