I didnt think 2WD such a different world, the driving is totaly different and I was so used to 4WD

I now understand why people say 2WD is more prestigious and a VERY good learning way to drive off-road!

Now, can someone tell me how you check if your diff isnt slipping? You want it very loose but cant tell if mine is ok??

If its like the rear of my B44, is it ok?

thx!!!
Well, you don't want your diff to be loose at all. You want it to be nice and smooth and spin free but you don't want it to be so loose it barks. To check your diff, tighten your slipper all the way, put your car on a high traction surface (carpet) and SQUEEEZE... if the diff is loose, you'll hear it.

thanks scott!

If I twist one of the wheels the other one turns revs about twice

Does that make any sense or souds right??

I will test it like you described it, not sure to be able to notice the diffrence in sound betwenn diff/slipper, I mean when running outdoors or on track

So your method will be helpfull?thx!

1st. Remove the dust/gear cover.

2nd. Hold the right rear tire and the spur gear at the same time.

3rd. Turn the left hand rear tire.

4th. See that slipper will slip and not the diff. If the slipper is to tight you will need to loosen. Once you get to that point,,, which you will need to be at to protect the diff from premature wear you can adjust the slipper to traction availability.

do as the manual suggests... tighten completely, the diff, then back the screw out 1/8th to 1/4 of a turn. Tune the car to the diff set like this, Don't tune the diff to the car, keep the diff consistent, never let the diff bark or it will score your diff rings. Don't overtighten (I've done this once) and snap the screw. It's best to use just two fingers because the torque from a full grip might snap it.

To adjust the slipper properly, hold both rear tires down, finger the throttle on the Transmitter in the left hand by putting the base of your transmitter on the left tire. See what kind of wheelie it does. If no wheelie = tighten, if higher than one inch = loosen, a one inch wheelie is dialed and what you are trying to achieve. The first few wheelies are going to be inconsistent because the pads are cold. Finger it a couple of times then judge wheelie height. Keep this tuning process as short and sweet as possible. You might burn your pads, I smelled mine after first figuring out how to do this trick.

The rims are from Jconcepts and must be somewhat new, cause I just saw them on their site the other day. They are a change from the normal dish wheels. Pretty cool.

Wait, holdup a second. Did anyone see Maifields vehicles. He added weight to the battery brace!!! Weren't some guys worried about raising the CG if they added weight up that high. I guess it isn't that big of a deal after all. If it works for Maifield, it works for everyone else right?

You don't adjust a slipper by thread count. Look at my post below.

Here are Cav's wheels:

http://www.jconcepts.net/store/index...0113bdf0d9d154

They come in fours that's why the price is high.

Yeah, the cars around here that I've seen with lipos usually do exactly what Maifield has. They put the weights on top of the battery brace. Then they wrap the whole thing with tape of some kind. The couple I've seen use electrical tape.
