What are you going to do with the 3 cell 11v lipo? You gonna have a plane shoot out of the back of your truck, lol. Warning though, don't track tune your T4 to that battery, too much muscle for track applications. You could bash a T4 like no other though with that, that would be sweet. What are all you guys talking about with upgrades for b4's? I run with a Factory guy and I asked about upgrades from the old box to the new black one for the FT's and he wasn't aware of any changes. What's all involved?

BTW go to youtube and look up lipo to see what bad lipo charging can lead to... lipo is so volatile that there should be a license involved with charging them lol... not bashing on em I got three meself and love them.

Hit the track like a madman so you can replace worn parts with new "upgraded" ones.

This will strickly be a basher being that we dont have races here locally, we have a small track but nothing set up for races. i dunno why. I am new to this all. The lipos should be fun...the 3's is a little tall for the battery hold down so maxamps said to just velcro it in....i ordered some good velcro stuff from tower. Wish me luck. Reading all about the Lipo charger and stuff tonite before I start to build.

Someone was asking earlier about a basher wheelie bar... I am kinda sure that there is one for the JATO. That is a 1/10th truck so it should work. If I were you, try to find a yard you could do a little track on. It is way worth it, home depot sells large dryer tubing relatively cheap, and I have a friend that built a sweet little track in his backyard.

just wondering if anyone has some 25mm (1 inch) fans they have extras of....need to get fans for my gtbs for my t4 and b4....was looking at the novak 25mm fans, but if someone has some cheaper then $21 for two id be interested.

25mm mainly for the b4 to fit under the body better, 30mm would work for the truck, just trying to replace the fragile clear 30mm novak fans.

The unobtainium shafts are blue-ish gray, not gold. The gold shafts are NiTride coated.

thanks armed!

Do you know the actual difference between both? Is one better than the other?

Yes they do look a bit bluey, not silver like stock shafts, just a different treatment for smooth shock operation I guess

The gold colored shock shafts are the latest offering from AE. The FT T4, B4, GT2 and the B44 all have the newer gold shock shafts. The silver (ubtanium, old) shafts are gone and being replaced with the gold ones.

I have an ICE charger but it doesn't have any 2s-6s adapter thing and it doesn't look like it would. It just has the usual NMHI positive and negative connections. Is that what I would use for the LIpo as well? Whats with block with the connectors on it? what is that for?

The other connectors on Lipo packs are balancing ports, you just connect the Lipo up to the charger from the positive and negaive terminals exactly as you would a NIMH or any other type of battery for a normal charge. You will need a balancer to use the balance ports, the ICE doesnt have a balancing feature.

These are what I use on my cars. Been using them for awhile, just have to solder different connectors on.

Hey Jake, let me know if you're going to order some fans as I could use a few too. Hope to see you at Glenwood on Sat.
