If you have the Kings head center diff mount get the 39 tooth or you will need to shim it up to clear the 41. I installed the 39 and love it. Much quieter.

Installed this in my SCTE and ran it tonight at a club race, and i have to say it was horrible! I set it up with 55/50 shock oil with yellow on front and front black springs on the rear. Any ideas on a rough/loose blown out track? Dont get me wrong the kit is very nice and I can feel the SCTE has a lot more speed in but my set-up is off!

Can you post your whole set up(diff oils, shock mounting positions, tires, ect)? Also, I'm pretty sure that's too high of an oil for a rough loose track. I think you'll probably want to be in the 40 - 50wt range.

What tires are you using? When you say loose, do you mean dried out or lots of loose dirt on the top?

lots of loose dirt, Ive always ran gridirons on front and enduros on the rear and had great success at all the tracks I travel to. Temps last night got down into the upper 40s so maybe its just the shock oil. Im not a huge fan of running the front spring on the rear either!

5/7/3 diff oils as metioned 55/50 shock oil and I just set it up to the mip setup sheet that comes with the kit.

I'm a little ashamed of myself but I bought one of the Pro2 30th anniversary trucks and paid a grip for it. Back in the day I very successfully raced a ProTrac slash and could hang with or beat a lot of guys with SC10s. Believe it or not the Slash is very forgiving on the track. Its biggest problems are weight and a general lack of sophistication. Maybe the changes will make it lighter and more nimble?

I'm now 100% devoted to all things Kyosho. However, when you look at the Pro2 it has the basic design that all the new trucks are moving to [including the new Kyosho platform]. I'm not expecting the Pro2 to be as good as my SCR-SPs but I actually think that it will be pretty close once I throw some Kyosho big bores on it. I haven't read a too much about the Pro2 but I hope it is lighter than a stock Slash....if not maybe I can run a shorty pack. Anyway, I just had to try it. I hope I don't regret it. In any event, in a couple of months it will be up for sale unless its its that good which I doubt. I'll post up my results in a couple of weeks when I start using it to run Mod SCT.

On a side note, what would a brand new set of 4 Power Stroke Shocks be worth?

Thats the problem. Dont use the set up that comes with the kit. Go here https://www.box.com/s/0f2d69b41d9bd54d618e and used Matts Toys for tots low bite set up. ALL OF IT! Not just oils and springs. EVERY SINGLE SETTING. Also do you have the green and matt discs on the top of the piston or underneith? The WORKING build order is from the bottom up its washer, piston, green disc, matt disc and nut.
Follow this set up to the detail and mount up gridirons and you will be impressed. Good luck!

What do u mean matt disc? And also that setup is for a smooth low bite track, I'm looking for as rough track setup.

If you find the truck doesnt cush enough on landings, try lighter weight oil in the shocks.
