Netmaster's car is slick but I don't like the way these things are going; too much tenth scale resemblence.. they need to look like buggies allright :) cheers for the good job done though !!

So buy a fat whale of a car like the AE or Mugen buggies :) Remember when everyone thought the Losi 8 was a skinny looking buggy? Now even it looks fat next to a Serpent :D

I think the serpent e buggy is very cutting edge. They have tried some things that other companies haven't. And now we are seeing other companies streamlining their e car too. I think the serpent car works very well. I am usually faster with the e buggy than the nitro and that has never been the case on any other brand.

I second that!!!!

Frank hit the nail on the head. The ebuggy just makes so much mechanical grip coming out of corners, and rotates very fast. I've had quite a few people comment on how radical the car looks, and when they see it drive they can't believe how nimble it is. Car jumps awesome too. Once you dial in a setup the car is fast. I went a full 10 seconds faster with my ebuggy the last two races over my nitro buggy using the same set of tires on both.

It's by far the best rc I've ever driven and I have had just about every buggy converted, never had a Mugen yet. I'm no expert but this buggy is awesome. Just got the Truggy with a RCMONSTER conversion, can't wait to try it. Would love to see an eTruggy based on the eBuggy though.

One question though for those who know. Why the plastic m3 nuts? I replaced them all with metal nylock nuts on both but am just curious about that.

Hey dup I start thread about truggy

Serpent says the plastic nuts are there to allow the car to give in certain spots. Personally i dont like the plastic nuts and replaced them all too

I could see that, instead of the shock tower breaking the nuts snap, that's still a pretty hard hit though and I would have other issues if I did that, :). My bet we will be seeing more of serpent on podiums everywhere.

Your wish may soon come true....

the Serpent made me a better driver first time racing it. I've driven other stuff, but this car is just sweetness all around. for 1/8 scale, buggy/truggy, nitro/elec, Im not even looking at other cars now... its a no brainer

I always enjoy reading your posts! You have some really great (and non-bias) opinions about everything.. It's like you're my clone or myself from a parallel universe, or something!!? Lol :D

Always nice to see some positive contribution to the forum, man! Keep it up!!

Ran mine today for the first time with the webbed bladders, and I have to say that I liked them. It seemed to help smooth it out down the bumpy straight and sweeper. Also seemed to soak up the landings better. I also installed the upgrade rc wing. A little improvement in balance through the air, but not much.

mrnizzles 05-28-2012 11:32 AM

lol.. idk, maybe if that alt universe has Serpent cars and nice tracks! but this car just feels different when racing it.

first time out was a C main, cuz of elec connector probs, and even though i was hanging on by the skin of my teeth, the car was like ".. yah whatever, im listening to Bach" and it just "dances" instead of "hustling"...

(it sounds kool, cuz its an organ)

I am a little miffed that my AKA wheels (pre-mounts) all 4, got flat spots on the tires/foams from a single 8 min race... anyone get these? ?? from 1 hard landing?

Anyone have the part number or part numbers for the the Kyosho plastic/composite spur y'all are using instead of the Serpent steel ones? :) Gracias! Haha
