In the finals he was able to beat Mark Hughes (AE SC10 4×4) and Patrick Neumann (Team Durango DESC410R) to take a clean win with his Team Associated SC10 4×4.

It's the droop and angle. It's the same as the others.

Did I read that right? Is he using the 32p gears on a 540? Is there any advantage to that over the 48p?

The 32p handles the torque shock from the jumps much better than the 48p. So for a high "air-time" track you would want to use 32p, etc. =)

ThunderbirdJunkie is in the midst of stripping his 4w down and noticed his rear arms are bowed in the same manner that the fronts are doing it. Anybody else notice this?

yup, i had the same, i flipped em left to right.

it seems they used too soft of a material for the arms. i hope the FT ver updates it with a stiffer fiber/composite mix

So I get home today and it's like an early Christmas. I went by my LHS and picked up a new servo. The Hitec 865 I found in my toolbox had a tooth missing (hence why it was in my toolbox) and had a dead spot when I turned left. Made for an interesting session last week. So I picked up a new Hitec servo, digital thsi time, and asked if the FT hex hubs where in. To my luck that had arrived earlier today. So I picked them up to. Finally, I checked my mail when I got home and there was my clutch basket. Time to wrench.

The servo is much better and the aluminum hex hubs are a must have (well, maybe not but they're REALLY nice) but the clutch basket...I'm a convert.

I run a 8.5 540. Considering what most here run, 550 4.5s and 5.5s, I thought the 8.5 wouldn't trouble the slipper. Even when I ran the truck for the first time it seemed okay. Seemed to work just fine. Then I noticed I had to sand the slipper some after every two or three packs. If I didn't I could feel the acceleration get soft. I figured with the basket I would be able to get a bit more life out of the pads. So tonight I put it on. One HD pad on the back and one HD pad and one standard pad on the front of the spur. I sat it on my carpet and tested it to make sure it was going to work.

It pulled up the front tires. Now I had heard it doing that with the 5.5s, but my little 8.5 540???? You could see the acceleration marks in the carpet where I got on it. It never did this with the stock unit!!! I'm sold and can't wait to try it on the track. I was going to look at getting a faster motor to clear a couple triples at the track but I'm just going to leave it alone now and see if this change helps. If you think your slipper is fine...doubt it is. This has made me a believer. Thanks Mac.

No rear upper shock location, either.

Rick, any plans on releasing a .5* or 1* rear hub or different toe blocks for the 4w SC10?

I pulled multiple wheelies down the back straight practicing yesterday. I'm running a standard on the back of the spur and 2 HT pads in the basket with an lrp x12 5.5 540. The basket is a great thing
