I'd in the stock one to keep any flex it's giving. Add 80 grams up front and 60 in the rear under the slipper. Like the Maifield setup!

Chassis is the same if you get the version 2. Same holes and everything, just bolts right up. The chassis is 5oz heavier if that helps you.
I doubt your gonna actually new much more weight than that. Thanks guys for the help! I think I'll add weights first and go from there. Where are people adding weights in the front? |

How much you need really depends on you. Depending which chassis you use, how much drag brake, center diff all factors in. Put 20 grams in and take it on the track and jump with it, then go up by 10 grams till you have it where it jumps level to nose down. It's all trial by error. |
15ish pages back you guys were discussing lipo's and chargers. I have a few questions on this subject and figured you guys seem to be the most helpful ive seen on here, i thought id ask.
Im tired of charging at 5a and it taking an hour to charge, so im looking to upgrade my charger. Id like to have the ability to charge at 20a and possibly 2 at a time, but that is not a necessity. I like the idea of ac/dc and not having to haul around an inverter but im pretty sure dc is the way to go to get full power. Do you guys have any suggestions? (keep in mind im still pretty new to all this lipo business:lol:) I already made the mistake of not getting the right one the first time so im willing to spend some coin if needed this time around. Thanks guys |

Thanks guys You must have: 2c+ charge rate batteries (NOT to be confused with c burst rating. (90c) 5A+ Dual charger A 40A+ power supply to support that kind of required amps. There is no charger that will charge 20amps with AC/DC. Anything that tells you that is either 500.00 or lying. FYI. http://pics.towerhobbies.com/image/h/hrcp4170.jpg http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...&I=LXCEYW&P=ML - To use this charger at it's capable 20amps per side, you will require a 45amp or more Power supply. Those are roughly priced around 175.00 and up. There are people who modify Server power supplies to become cheap PS's for use. Guides are available by a search. For a little education: You require 3-5amps MORE than what your charger will suck out of the power supply to keep the system running. 25A PS - 11 amps per side, 3 buffer 15A PS - 6 amps per side, 3 buffer etc Remember, When you fast charge, you must ALWAYS be balancing as well. |

Hi All,
New tuning option for the SC10 4X4- took me awhile but now finally ready to go; http://www.exotekracing.com/sc10-4x4-rear-hub-set/ Thanks for your support! http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8033/7...66a80f51_c.jpg Nice work, about time someone did this. I've been waiting for AE to come out with an updated rear hub but that may never happen. Now we aren't stuck with just stock height or +8mm. |

Your Batteries REQUIRE the ability to be fast charged as well, a charger is not the only aspect required. If you fast charge a non-fast charge lipo, it will destroy itself.

(1 carbon pro & 1 nano-tech) and i think im going to order another nano to beat up on. Ill search out the converted ps stuff. |

If on a budget, worth a look. |

I use the brass weights that Maifield uses, and stick them near the front part of the chassis on each side.

Dirty- it took me 3 chargers to get it right. I had changed cells and jumped around experimenting. This is what I've got and no need for dual ports. You can daisy chain 2 balance boards or buy the MPA board and charge up to 8s and 6 batts at a time. The sticker shock is tough but this is the safest and fastest charger out there. Cain , Exotech is already way heavier than stock & adding extra weight on the nose will not help change how the truck flies over jumps...
Just saying, additional weight will only make the jumps more difficult for the truck to achieve..:) |

Just saying, additional weight will only make the jumps more difficult for the truck to achieve..:) No prob. I have been running it without any additional weight but was curious if someone else with it has found a benefit. And the truck jumps excellent for the jumps out here (when the wind doesn't go haywire) ... Now that the exotek is on there :) |
Cain
Weight makes for good traction, does not help jumping though . Heavier the truck the less distance you can fly & less "pop" over or height.... Can understand you liking the EXo though, you need the grip from the extra weight . Still... Bring it to our layout at Trcr, all that weight will behave like a anchor over our bigger jumps ... ( Not good) |
Cain,
I have removed all weight from my exotek chassis. Just 1 oz on the left remains. To counter balance my stick pack. Thats all I needed |
Love this truck, might be my next purchase.

But each track can vary.
