You need to run more height on the ballstud, 6mm minimum and 7 is optimal. By running less you are raising your roll center and defeating the purpose of the 8mm to begin with.

okay.. i will raise it up to 7mm instead of 5mm.. i wont be able to go to the track until friday or sunday to do more testing... if i have too much steering should i go up on diff fluid in the front? currently running 20k and 5k.. what do you guys think? .. i am still itching to figure this truck out..

does 5k make that much of a difference from 7k in the rear? I realism you get a more responsive diff. Not sure exactly how this calms down the truck.

Is there a difference between running 5/5 or 7/7 or even 3/3? If traction is relative then wouldn't it all be the same.

Easiest way to describe it is the 3k oil would be lile driving a limited slip rear diff equipped car through a turn on power and the power would transfer to the Wheel with the least traction (inside) and you would get some tire smoke but thats about all the excitement you'd get.
7k oil would be like driving the same car now equipped with a locker in the rear that transfers power more equally to both tires in the same turn and now your back end is swinging out (over steer) and your lookin like Tanner Foust slidin through the turn all fast & furious style.

Lighter oil, less oversteer.
Thicker oil, more oversteer.

For the front:
Lighter oil, less push (more steering)
Thicker oil, more push (less steering)

Exactly, the lighter it is the more like an open diff it is...The heavier it is the more like a spool it is.

ok, I double checked my diff last night and i am running 7k, not 5k. hopefully I have the time to change the diff fluid at the track on friday.

Does anybody have any extra diff rebuild kits they want to get rid of? I want one for a spare but they are out of stock everywhere.
