I wonder how this would work on the truck?:

Yeah Racing SC10 4×4 aluminium solid axle

Yeah Racing have released this aluminium solid axle insert for the use with Team Associated’s SC10 4×4 SC truck. CNC-machined from aluminium and anodised blue the solid axle insert is usable with both the front and the rear differential, weights in at 5.7g and is a direct replacement for the kit’s differential gears.

I wonder why they would even bother? I'm sure there's probably one or two tracks were it would help to have a diff locked but why?????

OK, so I'm finally going to be a man and stop trying to sell my truck and just run it. I have a question on my motor/esc combo though, and I know there are varying opinions on this. I have a Castle 3800 1410 motor, and I can either run the SCT esc, or a Tekin RS Pro. Obviously I will monitor temps closely the first few runs, but which am I apt to have better luck with? Also if I was to get a Pro4 motor, can I run it with the RS PRO, or do I really need to get an RX8? Or do I really still have no idea what I am talking about? Thanks!!

Pro 4 motors are the equivalent of a 2T, 2.5T, 3T motor. So no, it won't work with a RS Pro. You might want to search RC Tech for motor questions in a motor thread for the best answers you are looking for.

So should I stick with the Castle 3800 and the Pro? I have spent lots of time searching, the search function on this site and me don't get along to well. I'm not looking for someone to just tell me what to do, and at the same time I don't really have hours to go through old threads and posts. It's frustrating that every thread on here is hundreds of pages long....

MMP will work with both the 1410 and the pro4.
The 1410 is a great motor.

Try the electronics thread on this forum, it breaks topics down to sub forums and not just one huge off road forum

That will work like a spool in a drag car. Good luck getting it to go around a corner

Default Setup help

I have been running indoor. I will be running outdoor on a 1/8 track this weekend and have a few questions. What diff fluid do you guys recommend? (10/5, 7,5. 7/3). I am more of a smooth driver vs aggressive. Any other setup help is appreciated.
Here is my setup:
Tekin rx8 & 4.5
Exotek chassis
Stick pack
MTK slipper w/ garodiscs
Shocks 32.5f/27.5r
Springs yellow f/blue r
Ride height 25mm with body

This might work in the front with a diff in the back. The setup would be like what is used on a 4wd touring car. The advantage is better acceleration off of the turn while squaring up better. It also will be better under braking.

When I ran the MTK basket I liked 20/5 for our outdoor track. If you have extra front springs you may want to try white or blue front springs on the rear and go up to 30wt. It will jump better and have better on power steering. I run my ride height at 24 to 23 mm. Helps stability in big sweepers and high speed turns. Have you spaced up the inner ball studs of the camber links? if not try 4mm front and rear.
