My belt is adjusted with zero slack, it will only skip at WOT on the street with the brake EPA set at 100%. At the track I can't adjust in any more than 50% brake EPA without locking up ALL FOUR WHEELS, and testing on the street with 50% EPA at WOT does not slip the belt. Since I never race in the street, it's never a problem, and even if I did, I have a chassis brace to keep the belt tunnels from deforming so it never will be a problem. If you're having belt problems I feel bad for you son, I got 99 problems, but the belt ain't one. I fitted up a brace and its helped. Belt tunnel no longer 'bows' and push the belt over. Pulley still flexes up though. I suspect my cover my be faulty. Thanks... |
I have a RX8 speed control will that fit with a Exotech chassis with the center dual battery mount?

You would need to grind some of the metal off the back of the chassis where the stock radio box clamps onto (a piece sticks out) and you might have to grind off a bit of the Exotech CF inline mount to make the RX8 fit. I know I would make it fit. ;) I attached a picture of where you would need to grind some material down. That's what I had to do. You can't install the RX8 on the passenger side since the belt tunel is low and the RX8 wouldn't fit under it. |
What clutch baskets and dual shock pistons are you guys running
|
For the record you can put the Rx8 on the right side with a few mods and a little work. I posted a picture several pages back of mine.

Here's all the info:
http://c0456141.cdn.cloudfiles.racks...c/asc90010.jpg Expected late March The SC10 4x4 taken to the next level with Factory Team treatment! Starting with the already awesome SC10 4x4, Team Associated takes their 4WD short course truck to the next level with the full Factory Team treatment! The new high-performance features found on the SC10 4x4 Factory Team kit have been designed to give this truck the competitive edge in the dirt and on the track. The SC10 4x4 Factory Team kit is built from the same race-proven composite modular chassis but with many new upgraded features added. The chassis layout has been reconfigured and now features a centralized-mass battery mount. This allows for the use of a saddle pack battery to optimize the weight distribution of the chassis. With the addition of the Factory Team carbon fiber chassis brace rod, the chassis flex has been made more consistent and predictable for an overall improvement in handling and traction. One of the more radical features on the SC10 4x4 Factory Team kit is the VTS4 slipper clutch, a variable torque, multi-plate slipper clutch with 4 drive surfaces. The VTS4 slipper clutch is a big step up in performance by providing increased torque capacity in addition to finer resolution in adjustment. This all adds up to more consistent power transfer to the ground. The SC10 4x4 Factory Team Kit has also received the upgrades you would come to expect to find in a full-blown race car. You’ll find Factory Team 13mm hard-anodized aluminum big-bore threaded shocks, blue aluminum clamping wheel hexes, and sway bar sets already in the box! Features: -VTS4 slipper (variable torque, multi-plate slipper with 4 drive surfaces) -13mm hard-anodized aluminum big-bore threaded shocks with lowfriction seals -Factory Team TiN-coated shock shafts and inner hinge pins -Centralized-mass battery mount with carbon-fiber strap -Factory Team carbon-fiber chassis brace rod -Improved steering rack with new Ackermann settings -Factory Team blue aluminum clamping wheel hex adapters -Factory Team front and rear sway bar sets included -Factory Team blue titanium HD turnbuckle set -CVA drives with 6mm heavy-duty axles and captured pins -Factory Team lightweight differential outdrives -Factory Team blue aluminum metric screw set -SC10 Contender body (clear) http://c0456141.cdn.cloudfiles.racks...asc90010_1.jpg http://c0456141.cdn.cloudfiles.racks...asc90010_2.jpg http://c0456141.cdn.cloudfiles.racks...asc90010_3.jpg New slipper you told us about: http://c0456141.cdn.cloudfiles.racks...asc90010_4.jpg |

me like it a lot have to upgade now. that sucks i just got my kit and its a new in short time now.:sweat:
|
Ha I guess even if no one from Team Assoc chimed in here about this truck someone was sure following this thread! Every issue that was addressed and resolved with innovation from guys on here are now "FT" parts.
I guess they need to shoot a new video to replace this funny one as everything has now been contradicted. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yQZcKbv64ao Thanks for the info FRONTI3R! |
looking forward to seeing what the price is for these items:
-Centralized-mass battery mount with carbon-fiber strap -Improved steering rack with new Ackermann settings -Factory Team blue titanium HD turnbuckle set -Factory Team lightweight differential outdrives Also, I wonder where that chassis brace is being bolted to in the rear. Lastly, for the CVDs or whatever they are called up front, what exactly is holding in the pins on the sc104x4s we have now. I know on the rear its the bearing, but it just seems the pins just float. if that is the case, what do people do to secure this location (shrink tubing, snap ring, etc) |
