Default nexx 10sc with 2x2s batt

hi all

i have these Turnigy TrackStar 4068 2560KV 1/8th Brushless and TTS-150A Turnigy TrackStar 150A 1/8th Scale Brushless ESC available to set up to my nexx 10sc... i like to try to run it on 4s for bashing.... my problem is i can't configure how to install 2x2s hard packs securely and safely on the chassis... has anyone of you tried to run your SC with 2x2s hard packs?

my imaginable layout is to put two battery holders (bought one extra to run 2x2s) longitudally on top of the centre diff plate and put the receiver and the esc on the chassis it self... is it plausible? for sure it will have higher COG.... any suggestions are welcomed... thanks

What I would do is get the battery tray from the RC8e and install it in place of the stock battery tray. You would have to drill holes in the chassis and counter sink then for the screws to be flush. That tray should fit and can hold 2 2S hard cases. It also has an ESC mount.

I would be very concerned with that much weight in this truck though. I run mine with 2S 5600mAH and a 4.5t 550 and it is plenty fast and nimble.

Hello everyone......I was wondering what happened to the forum seems to have slowed down...... Just wanted to say I sold the Losi Ten Scte and now am the proud owner of the Nexx 10SC and loving it!!!!!!!!!!!! Been racing it for over two weeks now and have to say wow..... Today I TQ'd in first heat and placed second do to a stupid move on my part in second heat.... In the main I placed first with one lap over the rest of the trucks... beat the Losi, Beat the 2 AE SC10, and a couple of slashes.... It's amazing that a rolling truck I got for $200 bucks did so well.... last week came in second overall so I'd hate to see once I get it dialed in....

Its a good truck still and can run right along with the rest of them and it costs less than even a slash 4x4 new. Now I know some will say the slash comes with a radio and other stuff but I wouldn't use the tq radio not enough adjustments and would want a better servo.

Yes it's a great truck that is severely underrated. Just because it's not from the big two, people assume it can't compete. Oh and people say its not durable and breaks every race, are the guys that plain can't drive. It's a 1/10 car with 1/10 sized components, and is plenty durable. Unlike some of these other claimed to be 1/10 4wd scts that are 1/8 cars with sct bodies and bumpers....

Default Not much breaks on this truck!!!!

So far the only part that I feel is a bit weak is the front body post, wanna stay with stock part but might go to the carbon fiber. I love the fact that I don't feel like a clone anymore and the best part is taking it to all these guys that swear OFNA is no good. When they get beat they ask what kinda truck is that? ....When I tell them it's the NEXX 10SC they are like get out of here, and I'm like yeah your expensive truck just got its butt handed to it by an OFNA.

Been doing quite well with my nexx ..just have to get into a routine with it if I go on a 1/8th scale track
make sure the gear box screws upper are tight they get loose on big jumps the wiggle how ever so slight will make the truck do some crazy things

My truck should be done by this evening. I'm looking for some good setups and here is currently what I'm running....

Mamba Max Pro with Novak ballistic 550 4.5.
Nano Tech 5600mah 2s Lipos running them flat instead of upright.
Carbon Fiber SNR chassis, Jammin carbon fiber shock towers
Stock Bigbore rear shocks all the way around

Weighed my Nexx10 3 months ago and it came in at 5.7lbs I'm having a hard time setting it up. So any advice to setting up a lite truck like this would be appreciated.

Ride height is important being that you have big bore shocks I would imagine it would be easy to lift the truck so its ride height is over 27mm in my experiences keeping the rear between 26 to 24mm and the front from 25 mm to 23 mm is key for me anyway.

I miss my jammin after reading this thread. I gave up on 4x4 but am thinking of getting back into it again. IT shound like the nexx10 is holding its own against the Losi and AE trucks, is it actually worth picking up one?

I'll be using an RX8 and Pro4 motor if I do, which pro4 are people using with this truck for a large indoor clay track?
