CB isn't a pro for no reason! HA!
Small track (friday night) is pretty easy the big track is harder but if you get there on friday the big track is open to practice. You would do well. Brian did pretty well at one of the harder tracks up here to get used too.

I know this topic has been beat to death but i wanted to hear from some nexx10sc owners. I'm getting ready to order a short course truck and i'm pretty sure i want the Nexx10sc. How do you like the pbs compared to the Jammin that has the knuckles? Also how does the Nexx compare to the Losi sct10?

I can't imagine wanting or expecting more from a truck than what the Nexx has to offer. Mine has been bad fast since the first time I put it on the track. I have no "trick" or lightened parts and only a couple upgrades, universals and aluminum hexes.

I like PBS as it is durable and doesnt need expensive parts/upgrades. Compared to a losi they both have advantages on eachother. Easier to run cooler and longer in a NEXX as it is lighter and it seems to out accelerate the losi but the losi seems to be able to hug corners better if both are stock with 550 motors..get a tekin 4 pole 540 and they both hug the pipes well as lighter motor balances out the Nexx.

If you don't mind me asking. What system are you running? I have a SW 3800 in my Hyper 10tt and its been great. I was thinking of staying with the 3800kv but changing to the MMP for the Nexx.

\I would love to go with a Tekin but it's not in the budget. I'm thinking MMP/1410 series 3800kv.

Hey guys, I just picked up a Nexx 2days ago. great truck. I unboxed it, put in a mmp and tekin 4.5 550....went to the local track and won the B main with it box stock. Had nothing for the A main guys with the stock tires but the truck did very well. Was much better out of the box than my SC10 4x4. It does nose dive quite a bit, even with the battery in the back position...but I have not even looked at the shocks yet nor touched the diffs.

look forward to the next race when I have set the truck up, I think it will easily compete with the losi's.

I ran mine with battery forward and much stiffer front oil. Chad Bradley changed the stock set-up to the single hole piston with 45wt. oil and it worked much better. Make sure you have no drag brake as well. I am actually re-building mine as a second car to compare to my SC10 4x4.

Just upgraded my servo for some tighter indoor tracks...so far so good...went from an old jr 1/8 scale steering servo from 2005 to a futaba S9351 to an AE DS1015. Acts much quicker

Love the truck!!

Ran it 2 race weekends without touching the diffs out of the box and I wasn`t sure it could get any better.I did play around with the shocks a bit, 1 hole piston in the front and Losi 45 all around with the white springs still on the rear.Diffs are now 5-5-3, gotta wait til Sunday to see how it does.

t-bone bumper and balance the truck out by moving the esc or adding weight to the battery side

I agree that chassis balance with this truck is very important to get it to corner and jump well. I had mine at about 49/51 which was as good as I could do without bigger changes. To do this I was using a 550 motor and the ESC on the battery side aft of the battery box which had to be forward on the chassis. The newer 540 4-pole motors would help to balance the truck a ton. Stiffening up the front shocks is also critical to me for steering, jumping, and reduces chassis slap which is prevelant.

I plan to drill a new set of holes to move the battery even more forward to get to a 50/50 balance. I will be using the Novak 4.5 550 Ballistic motor with the Havoc Pro SC mounted behind the battery.

I am using the PBS suspension and have the xtreme RC carbon diff plate and SNR combination tower/mounts.
