Elite RC makes a mount for the SCTE. It allows you to use a bigger pinion.

The SCTE needs the ERC-TENX mount.

What motor mount are you running? Or how much did you have to hack off the stock mount to get that too fit? Id love to see a pic.

Hey Ryan,

You should send some of the prototype goodness up north for testing.

I'm glad to see you can still have some fun with your truck. Don't let the whiners in this thread get you down.

I put new arms, rod ends, HA balls and suspension holder inserts in my truck a couple weeks ago. It's like a new truck again.

When I fill the diffs I leave the top gear out and fill it a little above the pins but not over the gears. Mine works free and smooth. except for when I put the plastic pieces in the rear case in backwards whoops haha.
I'm building my diffs now.....what is the best method for sealing them up.....Grease around the seals...or glue?.....

I put a tiny little bit of blue RTV sealant on the outside of the hex nut that fits in to the diff body. when i press it in, a bit of the rtv sealant squeezes out. i wipe it off with a rag and use a q-tip to clean it all up. let it dry an hr or so, then assemble. grease the o-rings, grease the out-drive shaft a little, then assemble as usual. I hear people using 2 gaskets, but I would only attempt that if you see leakage where they meet. I have only had leakage at the outdrives, but the RTV helps a ton. no grease or glue or anything on the gasket. its dry and clean.

Thanks for the advice on the diffs.

Now a stupid question I didn't pay attention to which way the diff was in the housing when I took it apart. Assuming I'm looking at the front of my truck which side does the ring gear go on left or right or does it even matter?

They only go in one way as there a step for clearance of the ring gear.

I take the little seal out fill up the area with grease put the seal back in, and then put a little more grease on top of the seal and then put the washer on. The grease I use comes in the 22 ball diff rebuild kit but i'm pretty sure they sell it seperate. Hope this helps!!
