Their 6 pole 1/8th scale motor looks impressive also.
wanted the 6 pole 1/8, but my 2200 and mmm are just shelf queens right now as this scte is getting all the attention

yeah i was reading your comments as well. guess ill start with a 13 pinion and a 5k lipo, but if its that mah hungry ill try the smc 6k 60c and see what it does with that one. collar thingy? you mean a spacer to use a 5mm pinion with a 3mm shaft? never used those before as my hobby shop has a lot of 3mm ofna pinions but yes 5mm is ideal since i can borrow those from my truggy

Yeah the adaptor. I do run 13T pinion, it's insanely fast, instant power, and I can get well over 10 mins with a 5000mah 40c, but I'd feel better about 6200/60 also. Comes off after 6-8 mins at 165. perfect.

Hey Salad, which do you prefer the 4.5 or 5.5 VST XL?..and why? I'm trying to decide between the two!

Anyone know where all those 5-40 locknuts on this car can be ordered in aluminum? I can find tons in 4-40 but 5-40 looks to be pretty rare.

right on!!!! i will have to see how it runs in this heat and humid environment here. Now do you run a heat sink or a fan? RC*PHREAK told me they're 36mm can size so i should be able to use the castle fans i case

Why do I see in most pics of sway bar set screws that you guys run yours with left to right play? I was told some good info from the "tune with camber link" thread that sway bars should be tight with zero side to side play. I have searched manuals from other manufs. and cannot find any info on what the truth is..unless it's personal preference?

You will have SOME side to side movement in the sway bar. Due to the design of 90% of the 1/8 scales out there (yes I know the scte is 1/10 but it is identical to the 1/8 platform) you can only limit the amount of play for and aft in the sway bar slot via the set screws. If you use the set screws to hold the sway bar tight, then the suspension will be bound up and not work properly. The sway bar has to be free moving to do its job properly, even if there is some side to side movement.

Exactly if the sway cannot transfer energy then it's no different than running harder springs.. it suppliments basically.

Don't worry it took a couple weeks for mine too.. communication can be a little slow due to they are making the chassis and filling orders as we speak LOL Keep in mind it's not a gigantic company with a bank of phone/email support crews It's worth the wait.. just msg off rectech or their web site and you will get a reply.
