They should shorten it up to Make it legal or sell two versions.

My carbon parts should be here tomorrow, I'm kinda sceptical about running the carbon pin retainers, I'm wondering how they will hold up. I'll get the aluminum soon, until then I'll keep the steel retainers in my pit box. In a perfect world my Chris titanium hinge pins would have c-clips on the inner pins too so I don't have to hide my carbon! How cool would that be?

lol that would be pretty cool, I had the cf hingepin holders and the front front one snapped on me so i took them all out and put the aluminum ones back on.

You guys sure the ERC chassis is not ROAR legal? ERC Chassis is 334mm long, I thought ROAR was 335mm?

I bought and installed the snr graphite and last week my right rear inner hinge pin popped out and my outdrive popped out of course...needless to say I was finished. I pulled everything apart and did not find a problem with the hole so I put it back in. I ran yesterday and my day was ended early with a broken body mount. My fault because I did a front flip. Anyway, the pin holder held up. Your call but I'm keeping my aluminum close by.

I get great temps on the 1410, even at 16t temps have never been over 160, and no motor is keeping up w/ that speed that I used and staying at a good temp. The 14t is nice and quick in the infield, holds around 130ish for temps, but the 15t is in the middle of temps and has a little more speed on the straights. My biggest issue really is that we race on 1/8 size tracks w/ 1/8 size jumps. I will have to make sure to only use my 6k lipo packs and maybe run the 14t to help w/ the run time.

Any Motor setup is going to drain this fast if not faster under these conditions.. PS I use to use the tekin 4.5 and I have used the ae 4.5 and the 1410 is by far the best.. granted I didn't use a 5.5 of any varient. I have a few guys I race w/ that switched from ballistics to 1410's and they couldn't be happier, all of them have better lap times.. So I guess it's a to each his own.
I'm running the RX8 with the 1410 and 14/40. I love it and my temps are 140's after 7 minutes on a 1/8 track with ambient temps in the 90's. My Tekin 4.5 550 got hot and ruined the rotor so I sent it back and sold it.

We went that rout many years ago, milling stock chassis,
but the overall experiance was a big disappointment..
BCESPEED 7075 T6 Billet (Mil S)

I think I ened up getting about 2 to 2.2 out of milling the stock chassis. I've been running it for weeks now that way and run both on an 8th scale outdoor tracks and some indoor tracks as well.

I think 6061 would have been fine to go with as well, we used that for a custom slash 4x4 chassis and holding up just fine as well and plus 6061 helps keep the cost lower as well, but nice option and chassis though.

I asked the question a few days ago about the rotor size in the 1410... We took a 1410 apart and took a peek.

The reason it's got so much on the bottom end is because it had a 17.5mm rotor. That's nearly 5mm larger than what is ROAR legal.

[QUOTE=8ight-e;9276164]ya sorry venting some I guess... wahh for me, I'll suck it up :P

It's all good eight, I'm interested to hear about a weekend like that makes me feel a little better about mine!! Just got done putting about 5 hours of work into my scte in the2 days and I put about 150.00 into it and was all ready to hit probably the largest SCT race of the summer near me, put a new Savox servo in, got new AKA super-soft enduros, new set of DE wheels, new motor wires, new drive shaft, new side guards, new lipo, re lock tightened the whole truck almost, sure I'm missing a few things. I take it out in front of my house and within 5 seconds no lie, I hit my neighbors steel water shut off and blew out my hinge pin, and maybe my front arm. I have extra arms but no pins, and for some reason no one around me can stock parts for the SCTE. So I missed the race...SUCKED. At least I didn't blow 400.00 worth of electronics but still.

Has anyone bought the Titanium Chris hinge pins? Are they stronger than stock? Anyone now the weight diff? I think I'm going to start putting her on a diet now that there are lots of nice parts coming out. What's the best bang for the buck? Shock towers, Out drives, hinge pins? I just got some new side guards but I think Im going to take them off and Swiss cheese the battery tray, if anyone has time take a pic of your light weight set up. I think Im going to try standing the lipo up to center the weight better.
