How about traxxasgal then? Same story? I've seen both post from the same IP address?

rcman45 is now suspended... So is traxxasgal.

Tell your "brother" not to make any more accounts.

IP bans are NOT as simple as everybody makes them out to be.

When you run the 1415 motor on 2s you will need to go bigger to get speed the kv is only 2400 I think

Well then just don't worry about it.

Keep your posts on topic and don't start any bickering.

I'll let this "brother" thing fly for a little while...

I ran a 19 tooth pinion on my 1415 with no problems

I just ordered the erc motor mount. Has any body else tried this thing out? The stock one works but I am hoping the erc will support my t8 motor a little more then the stock one

If my eyes aren't mistaken, it looks like the lightened outdrives are now available! Looks like another weekend of rebuilding diffs for me The good news is, this is the last time I will need to crack them apart for a while. Race this Saturday, but will rebuild after that. Then I get to sit back and see what else Losi will release for this truck

Do you have a Tekin hotwire? that is the easiest way to program it. That or call Tekin tech support and they can walk you through programming it. I don't have their number off hand but it is on their website

you are going to want to program it before you run it b/c the Low voltage cutoff in the RX8 the default setting is one cell and I'm sure you are probably going to run two.

As far as pinion size I'd say start with a 14 and watch your temps you may have to go down a tooth or up a tooth

You won't HAVE to change anything...

The stock settings are a pretty good starting point out of the box.

I would update to the latest 212 software... but start out with the stock settings in the controller and then fine tune later for your personal feel.

Also... Set your Lipo Cutoff for the battery you are using.

Most of the settings in the RX8 are for feel / power delivery... The factory settings are more than adequate until you are ready to start tuning for feel.

Check out the Tekin RX8 thread in this forum section.

sorry to cut in but just wanted to ask. i saw a 1/8th scale tekin rx8 motor that was 1700kv? now i am just asking here why is the kv so low, doesnt this mean rpm and the lower the kv the lower the rpm? i thought you needed more kv for power on a heavy 1/8th scale rc, please explain this to me, thanks
