I would guess it will go about 37 mph on a good 2s and around 43 mph on a good 3s. Which IMO is FAST. When I get my truck fixed will put down some exact numbers. Heat is no issue at all. The motor is a little warm to the touch defiantly not hot to the touch after a good 5000mah pack or two. I am pretty happy with this setup. I did grind the little motor stand thing a little and took a bolt out and it slid right it. Using a novak 20t pinion installed upside down to fit. Easy install. I ran it at a smaller indoor track( not my fave) and it ran great, a little fast but the truck can handle it. I hope to get more track time in asap.
what esc are you using? Im planning to install the same motor but I only got a mamba max to power . is it possible? TIA!

They had a sample at the RCX show. They said it should be out in a week or two, can't wait to try them.

I have stock replacment Front & Rear shock towers and Aluminum Front and Rear Chassis brace for sale.

Looking for what I paid for them, the shock towers are new in package, I took the braces out to see them on truck but never ran them.

Also, I may get flamed for this, but I just purchased a Stampede 4x4 to bash around with lol
Don't ever apologize for having fun!!!! Vehicles like the Stampede 4 x 4 are what brought most of us to this hobby and they keep many people IN this hobby!

And THAT explains a LOT about why God made silver paint - I just use the Pactra that we use on our r/c bodies - seems to stick really well and then you can have any color you want!!!!! Mine are silver!!!!!!!

yes i got the 1512 in there but i raised the center diff with 1/8 shims to get it in there. if you go back a few pages i got pics there that show there is space before it hits the center diff outdrive.i suppose you dont have to raise the center diff if you cut off the motor kickstand . i didnt do that as i have the 1410 2S 4 pole coming soon.

Default Battle of Attrition

My buddies and I are Saturday morning track hounds. The standard SC 4x4 setup has been Slxxh 4x4 running Mamba Monster ESC and 1800kv on 3S 5000mah. Nothing organized. Last one to hit LVC and/or break is the winner. The Mamba Monster setup has been the default because it can run pack after pack without any heat problems.

I recently jumped ship and traded up to the SCTE. I'd like to try a sensored setup. My question is, will a Mamba Max Pro/550 5.5 setup handle this kind of abuse? Would a Mamba Pro/Tekin T8 be a better option?

I have a Ten T running a Mamber Monster/2650 that is a proven setup, but as I said I'd like to try something sensored, just not at the expense of getting smoked figuratively and literally.

if you did this with a 550 motor like say a ballistic, you may want to upgrade to the 14mm rotor I am thinking based on what has been posted and what I read up on novak's site plus communications with one of there engineers.
