On another note, I have 2 protek using them on my mugen eco in series and one of them swollen. Sent it and paid 50% for a replacement, weird that one was working fine so I believe their a hit or miss
Using nanotechs with no problems. Also read about the A specs nanotech and there was no difference vs regular nanotechs...not sure if it was at ultimate rc

The existing parts in the diff rebuild kit will be updated with the new gaskets as they are replenished. So it will be a running change/update with the gaskets.

So when you buy your rebuild kit, check to make sure you have the thicker gaskets in the kit.
I think if You order the TLR part number you will get the new parts regardless.I did....

I have used two of these all last outdoor season and still going strong. I highly recommend the solid bullets though as I have seen the cases melted through with the birdcage style. Why take the risk? I used the cables that came with the battery to make my charger adapter which works well.

How close in comparison are the stock springs compared to the TLR Orange rear springs?

The soft (I think silver) stock springs are the same rate as the orange but the stock springs don't support the same way the racing springs do. The racing springs are worth the money.

You can use the spacer that come on the stock chassis to raise it up a little off the chassis or the spur will rub and bind very bad on the chassis and you gotta dremel it a little as well to make it fit right... and I knw with the KHZ moter mount you have to use washers or something to raise it a little off the chassis so it doesn't bind. MIP Matt has it on his and he uses washer to raise it up a little off the chassis.

If you have n e more questions on it or need a pic to explain it better please just let me knw and I will post a pic or two.
What type of washers/spacers are people using? What spacer are you referring to from the stock chassis? I am having the same problem with the combination of the MIP chassis + King Headz motor mount / center diff upright. Even the stock 40t spur doesn't fit properly into the gear groove on the chassis.

WOW Good to know! I had no idea. I've lost so much weight off the car that my stock springs are now almost all the way to the top of the threads. Guess I'll be investing in a new spring set!

I have 3 pairs of these (I run them single in my Losi and paired up in my 1/8 eBuggy):

http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...Lipo_Pack.html

Only because the 6600 was never in stock when I had to buy.

I've now also got 2 pairs of these:

http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...Lipo_Pack.html

For my money when ordering again, I would get these:

http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...Lipo_Pack.html

The A-spec run a bit cooler, which suggests they don't have as high an internal resistance. And I may be talking out my rear end, but they seem to hold power better - In that they don't lose speed (voltage) under load quite so much right through the cycle. However, the 6600's are the ticket for capacity/price if you need the capacity.

I only use about 2,000 MAH in a 5 min race with 1-2 min practice in my losi, so really if I wanted to lose weight the best option would be to pick up one of these:

http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...Lipo_Pack.html

150g weight saved right there, plus $20 in your pocket.

I'm led to believe the A-spec are lighter than the normal, otherwise there is also a 4200 normal shorty that is cheaper again.
