So the stock body that came with my scte is pretty beat up. What body are most of the guys running that cuts down on parachuting and still looks good? Any shells to avoid?
Probably not the thread to post this, but since it is for my scte, Ill give it a shot.
Looking into buying a maxamps battery pack but dont know which balance connector I need. The conector i currently use is something like this one. Could someone tell me if its a jxt-xh or a thunder power? Thanks!

I know the 5,5,3 diff setup on this truck is a standard but i use 5,7,3 i like the extra torque out of the corners. And its better on smoother tracks with higher traction and thicker oil last longer when using big power motors !
Its what the driver likes maintly.
Iron: Ive been using the stock body with some big cracks but so far its held up i just cut as many holes on the body. As i can windows/side panels etc and it helped a lot.
I like the lightness of the stock body.
Where do you race at or do you bash ?

What shocks are you guys running? Are there any good aftermarket shocks for this truck? I'm just curious because right now I'm not too happy with the stock shocks. They do have a decent amount of time on them and haven't been rebuilt so maybe that's the problem but they just don't seem to have much rebound. I guess I would describe their action as lazy and they seem like they've always been that way.

I bought the hard anodized tlr shocks with the nitride shafts. They work awesome! Plenty of rebound

Take the EB48, a good buggy and good speed. One of the guys at the track this weekend broke and it nearly just packed up and left because he did not have the part. Luckily another guy at the track had one so they got him taken care of (which is something I love about this hobby) but if not, no more racing for a week or more. That part sucks to me.
I used two MaxAmps 2s 6500mah 150c batteries for the whole race season. No swelling or cases cracked.... I run a 4000kv Pro4 / RX8. Plus I can shoot 20 amps to it and charges pretty dern quick. I've been impressed.

I have not as of yet, but some guys that I run with regularly and are as fast as me beat them pretty handily at the first top notch race in SDRC which is their home track so they should have a good handle on how the truck should work there. However, it is person versus person and that truck does need things changed too. There will be times when it beats ours and vice versa, thats what will make it fun. More competition ususally makes a class grow too and I like that. The big issue is parts availability and for Tekno, you pretty much have to mail order most of it and thats tough to me for the common person.
