No breakage, just unecessary upgrades that won't make a noticeable difference at all.

"oh hey, just put a tekno driveshaft and anodized ball ends and i can't tell a difference at all when i'm driving. So glad i spent that $75. But hey it looks pretty and that's what counts."

but seriously 90% of the items in my cart are a want and not a need.

I know I need rod ends badly right now, and guess what? yup. The dreaded backorder. I have heard that people are running 8 series rod ends with the HA pivot balls. Anyone know if those rod ends will work?

I use the end links from a traxxas rustler. I had some new ones laying around. The holes in the balls have to be slightly drilled out but they have lasted much longer than stock losi ones ever would and no slop.

There's a flange on one side of the steering ball ends. Compare that to the illustration on the setup sheet - I run the flange down which is pretty much what all setups have. Flange down is bump steer up and flange up is bump steer down.

Default Unsolder Motor Connections?

This may be a dumb question - certainly won't be my last one LOL...

When you guys work on your motor, taking it apart to clean it or replace bearings or whatever, do you typically unsolder the wires and then resolder when you are done or leave them connected and work around them?

Its easiest to un soldier it and clean it ... just dont heat up the tabs on the motor too much.
