I tried the HA ball ends, and they wore out almost as fast as the stock ball ends. I replaced the rod ends and ball ends wit the traxxas 1/10 short and long rod end combo. Can anyone say, "seeya you sloppy son of a biscut eater!"
Seriously, it is one of the cheapest and best mods I have done.

Even larger 8ight-e body's are a little off w/ the length of the scte chassis, not impossible to mod up.. but I've seen no kit per se' Any buggy body just looks odd on the scte chassis with the longer wheel base iMO.
Thats what I kind of fugered. I would really like to shorten it up because my track is tight and twisty with no real straights to speak of. The shorter wheelbase would do much better. It would perform better with my Hyper TT in that setting.

Hoping that RPM will make a rear bumper soon. I haven't broke mine yet but many people have.

5525 is the correct part number. You get enough to do the whole truck.

I did this months ago and never looked back. If I remember correctly you will need metric hardware.

LOL...i was ready to beat feet down to the hobby shop and pick up some of the traxxas ends...maybe I will just leave it be for now. I sure does seem sloppy though.

BTW, I just ran my SCTE yesterday for the first time. Skipped practice gluing up some tires. Threw the truck down for the first qual and ran second out of 10 or so. Repeated in the second qual and finished up second in the main. I just couldn't keep up with the guy who won. But like I said I had never driven the truck before it was straight out of the box set up + TLR hop up kit and lightened outdrives, KH chassis, RX8/Pro4 4600, savox 1258, 5/5/3, 14t.

And I need to mention that I didn't have any trouble with flying nose down like a lot of people mention. I attribute some of that to the KH chassis having less drive train drag and running 0 drag brake.

I swap out my plastic ends 2x a year.. (racing 1-2 days weekly w/ some practice mixed in) start of racing with a fresh set and the mid point (june/july) swap out again. The new hd balls I'll keep for the full year and just replace before next season.

Keep in mind you only notice the slop when playing w/ the truck on the bench, and no slop can often mean broken parts, especially if you keep the servo saver locked down as much as I do.

I also assume this slop is from the steering area (front end) in which you are talking, nothing else normally gets very sloppy.

Couldn't agree more...people need to forget what happens on the "bench" and just run it.
