The Proline V3 foams hold up a lot better than the SC foam that Proline includes with there tires. Proline softened up the SC foam with the inner groove and those foams die and feel way too soft after only a few runs.

The only thing I didn't like about the HB Beams is that on my SCTE is that they balloon quite a lot. I run the Pro4 4600 and with that kind of power they grow too much IMHO. I would try what was posted about gluing the outer ribs to the rim, that might just be the trick.

Oh, and I ordered the 120mp esc from brushlesshobbies.com for 59$ and found that it is the exact esc as the Xerun 120amp esc. Its an amazing deal. It ran great all friday. The esc never got over 110degs running the pro 4 4000kv 15/40 with 20deg of turbo, and the mtor didnt get over 160.
So, I assume you like the losi over the ae?

Do the Losi 8ight rod ends fit the SCTE pivot balls? What are the tie rods of choice the 8ight or Lunsford? I ordered the 8ight rod ends but do I also need the 8ight balls?

Hehe, yes i do I really liked the AE, until we had a new track layout with a set of quads and a 35' tripple that would kill the AE, while the losi could sky it. Now after amonth of driving the losi, I have been learning how to drive real hard. I couldnt drive the AE nearly as hard.

Cool. I am running the losi 550 4 pole right now, and this motor actually rips. Just seeing how far I can gear it up. Running 18 now.

the new ha balls fit in the 2.0 rod ends!! and i use the mounts to the towers of the eight as well. the 2.o balls dont fit in the front hub or the rear hubs. i bought off an ebay seller thats scraps new kits and been running 2.0 rods n ends since i first got the scte.

If you use those parts as-is the truck will be too wide, wider than the ROAR legal limit (maybe not important) and the tires will stick out from the body (more important).

However if you machine down the back of the LOSB3499 hubs and use LOSB3566 axles (the ones from the Ten-T) you can get the truck very close to ROAR legal width with the tires fully inside the body. Speaking from experience...

Good to hear some feedback on the speedo. I talked to one of the better racers at the onroad track the other day and he said the Hobbywings are really solid. Smoothe like Lrp with Tekin punch. Not to mention I could sell my back up RS pro and buy 3 of these.. So you don't need a card or anything but a usb cable to program these?
