So while tearing down my rig I cam across a couple stripped screws, the manual does not call out a size. I am looking for the size of the screws that hold the diff together (4 on each diff) if anyone knows the size please let me know I am going at break to pick new ones up, and hopfully a tool to get the stripped ones out

HPI part# Z449, they are M2.5x12mm. These are 2mm longer than stock (stock is 2.5x10mm), and are far less likely to strip the threads in the plastic diff housing, as many others have found out.

This USED to be on the front page but somehow disappeared.

pretty sure 2 pole 550's are allowed, especially since it's what most were using at the nats including team tekin driver ryan lutz.

Im looking at buying a tekin pro4 3300 and running it on three cell. This setup is actualy going in a 810. Since the 810 thread is a bit dead I thought I would ask in here.

What kind of run time are people getting out of this setup?
Would I be better off with a t8 2650?

Also, can you purchase the "new" SCTE springs individually, or do you have to buy the "Racing Spring Kits" (LOSB2959 and LOSB2963)?

Any idea if Eight-T 2.0 Springs will fit?
1) Yes. You have to buy LOSB2909 to get all the pistons
2) You have to buy the whole set ( 5 springs ) if you want the new springs. The only SCTE Springs that are sold in a pairs are the gold springs.
3) No. But from what a previous post said, get them from Chris. There was a link he provided.

Goodluck.

i run a 2400kv 1/8 motor in my 810 on 3 cells and it's great. the T8's are only a couple bucks more than a pro-4, i'd get the T8 2650.

no sweat, man. Glad I could help. If I recall correctly the HPI parts are that YFS brand hardware which holds up VERY well for me.

Right, I was just referring to the 'seemingly random' approvals for 540 motors. 550 (2 pole only) started out as a provisional rule just for the 4wd sct class as 4 pole 540 roar legal motors were few and far between. 550 4-pole motors aren't roar legal according to current rules.

The only reason I would like to run the pro4 is to save some weight. I have a t8 2650 on two cell in my scte and its a beast. maybe I should pick up a 4600 pro4 and trade out the motors.

Just curious about how you installed the T8 in your SCTE, what kind of mods did you need to do?

The new Nano-tech 6.6 packs are the advertised 290g. They are also exactly the same dimensions as the other hardcase lipos.
