I'm not worried at all, I ran without motor protection before in touring and in 4wd offroad buggy.

Do you understand that Revtech 3800 motor cost $164.50? So they will rather go to Tekin 4000kv for $134. or go cheaper for Castle 3800. What makes you think people would like to spend on overprice motor like Revtech? are you working with Revtech?

I'm not working with anyone, nor do I care who chooses to spend x amount on this or that brand motor. I just don't know what this sentence MEANS.

Three posts later I am starting to understand (I think) you were trying to say that the castle is $100 cheaper. My bad.

Rusty- You're first post didn't make any sense, he was only looking for clarification. Yes he could have done that in a better way. Let's drop it and move on.

As for the price of the Revtech, people said the same thing about the Tekin RX8 and T8 motors when they came out. Now that's the go to gear in 1/8th electric. It will all depend on the performance of the motors, also I'm not sure if that's street or retail price. If it's retail you can be sure that the street price will fall right around the Pro4 motors.

We aren't (well I am not) English teachers, but it sure is nice when you can actually read what people post without getting headaches.

I would think they HAVE to price match the Tekin, Revtech's 2 pole 540 motors match the street price on LRP, Tekin, Thunder Power, etc. etc. But then again, Orion's 2 pole 540 motors are roughly $20 more than the rest of the market with no real good reason why. So who knows what any of these companies are thinking lol.

I own the 4600kv pro4 and the 3800kv, The Pro4 is alot smoother being sesnored vs sensorless and has a little more top end and a little more torque, Idk how noticeable on the track it would be power wise, But smoothness is what makes all the difference.

It's all good guys. I really didn't understand what he was getting at, and was kidding about the translation quip, but I seriously think english is not his first language at this point. At least, I hope not.

Here's the Deal on the RevTech 4pole 540 motor, I sent RevTech a email last night and James over RevTecah sent me a email this morning as I had some good questions for him. Here's what he said:

"We did most of our testing with the rx8 Esc worked well. We were comparing against the 4 pole Tekin 4600kv, and worked untill we felt our stuff was better. Yes this motor is sensored, and we mainly raced a Losi with the 4 pole and a Durango occasionally.

The Rotor is 17mm. 12 Slot. We were coming off at around 150 with the following gearing on all tracks, Low gearing for the Scte.

4800kv start with 12-13
3800kv start with 13-14

We also tested this motor on some Non-Sensored Esc as well.

Dude, you can't say let's drop it and then ask him if he's a natural born citizen...

Seriously though, everyone, Losi SCTE and related products. Go.

5th place last night in the main, started last. Lost a set screw out of the front drive shaft in the 2nd heat. Worked on the setup all night. I was nose diving pretty bad, but I think I had it worked out by the main. Truck runs great!! Love my new SCTE.
