Mike- Chris and I have been running the 2650 for months now with good success on 2s. We are running a 21t pinion (which will fit in the stock motor mount with just a tiny bit of dremel work) Plenty of torque and good run time. No doubt that on a long straight you would top out a bit earlier than you would want, but would't be an issue on many tracks in our area. You could also get an Elite motor mount that will allow you to run a larger pinion (24 or 25t I think, can't remember) I am also going to try the Pro4 as soon as I can get my hands on one, but I will keep the 2650 as a backup as it has been a good choice IMO. Hope that helps.

As small as you can. I used a #60(1mm).

Default Losi Upgrades

Alright i have a question for you advanced guys.

What in your opinion are the best 5 upgreades for the SCTE bfor racing?

Secondly i heard someone say to use the Associated RC8Be rear chassis brace for the SCTE. It is longer but they said it is a perfect fit into an extra hole the Losi has in the Center.

Has anyone done this?

They said it was better for flex.

Please any upgrade suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

1. Losi CF Shock Towers
2. Losi Racing Springs (Black Front, Orange Rear)
3. HD Lightened Outdrives
4. Losi Aluminum Adjustable Hinge Pin Holders
5. Losi Aluminum Rear Hubs

Or just get the TLR Tuning Kit and it will have 3 out of the 5 I mentioned, plus a ton of other goodies for a discounted price. I'd still get the springs and outdrives though.

Is the TLE Tuning kit for the SCTE back ordered everywhere? I thought it had already come out. Amain shows the end of the November and Horizon shows December. The indoor season for me starts at the beginning of October and I was hopping to have the fancy parts on my new SCTE at the start of the season.
