Jeas Ridley, you're such a hard @$$.
When you guys quote a post with a bazillion pictures, could you please delete the PICS out of the quote. It makes the thread SOOOOO much easier to read Posts with a half page of pics are GREAT....the first time you see them, lol. After seeing the same ones 13 times......not so much
Can you provide any more info at the moment or was this just a Tease?

This is only my opinin and I'm certainly no pro, but there is so much more contact between the gears that I certainly wouldnt be surprised if people experimented with leaving them out like on the Losi Eight diffs that i believe Adam Drake started building like that with success. But to stay inline with Losi's recommends, I included them. If anyone decides to omit the tiny shims, do so at your own risk and know that you chance ruining the gears. That being said, I'm sure someone will try it and I look forward to seeing thier results.

Are the new alum scte shock caps vented?

They have a bleeder hole in the side like a 22 shock cap. They are not "vented" like the EU 8ight caps.

to do the emulsion style shocks, does the shock cap need to have the hole??

You don't "need" the bleeder caps but it really makes it a LOT easier to bleed the shocks properly with them. If you don't have the bleeder hole caps then you basically are in trial and error in getting the right amount of oil in the shocks but it can be done.

Yeah, I am having that fixed, it doesnt have a slipper clutch and I have no clue where they got that...
Nearly 3oz lighter. Its 73-74 grams lighter than stock
Well, no...but is is a serious pain to bleed them right without the holes. The holes make it MUCH easier.

I just cant beleive no one has commented on the 4 pole long can 2800kv motor yet. You all asked for a little more over the 2400 castle and so I got it and the thing is awesome.
Tested it in 105 deg weather, 3 packs back to back and it never went over 170 geared at an 18.

wonder how that motor that comes with the RTR compare to the castle 1410?
