Have you verified that the fan comes on on the ESC?

WHen you first turn on the ESC the fan should run for a few seconds, after that it will shut off and not come back on until the esc reaches a temp of 150.

What firmware version are you running on the MMP?

EDIT: the good news is its pretty easy to straighten. Just put it over your knee and bend it back untill the holes line up again. I did that for a bout 3 race days until it just wouldn't hold straight any more. If it is your chassis and not the towers, I would pend the extra and get the BCE and just be done with it.

Did it fit when firat built?

Let me check it out tonight at the track.
Thanks guys. I figured it out. I'm running D8's with SNR Towers and the body mounts were pushed up against the cap head screws of the upper shock mounts. Therefore, pushing the body pins towards the middle. Just a little bit of tweaked plastic is all, so no worries!

The fan does run on the ESC. I'm running stock settings on the MMP.

Settings and the firmware version are 2 different things. You should hook the ESC up to your PC and use the Castle Link software and under the software tab it will tell you which version you are running.

I would not run any other version besides 1.26.

ive been looking for the past hour and i cant find the answer which i believe has been posted before. Is there an alternative to the little tiny shims in the diff? Losi only has them if you buy the whole kit and i want more then 4 and dont wanna spend 30-40 bucks just on 12 shims lol

How do you hook the ESC to the computer?

You need the Castle Link adapter. If you bought your MMP new it comes with a coupon to get it for free.

Actually yes, I lost one of those shims rebuilding my diffs. Found some in my shim box and I believe they came from the Ofna shim packs you can buy that contain several size shims for around $3 or so. I'll see if I can find a link.

Hi all. I just bought a couple of SCTEs. The first one, which I've run a couple of times, has a Tekin SCX4 5.5. It runs way hotter than I like. After 5 or 6 minutes its @ 165 during the day when its 95 out. I tried both 13 and 14 pinions with no luck. 1) am I alone with the Tekin 550 getting hot 2) would a Tekin T8 fit? A guy at the track runs a Jammin with a 2050 on 2S and its smooth and runs ice cold. I know the weight is an issue but I would feel better if the truck ran cooler.

I believe these work as well, but I would wait for someone else to confirm.

someone measured the stock shim and it was in between .1 and .2 but closer to .2. i just re-built my rear diff with these using the .2's. i haven't run it yet, but it feels good.

From the first page of this thread bro...

Tekin RX8 (Using current limiting with the 550's (90-80%) can help on motor temps)
