We have only done some shakedown passes with the transam. But the old setup which was a stock shortblock/cam only through a 4l60e the car pulled low 1.5's. Stock suspended. Runs on a 28" ET street.
We think he car can run a high 9. Should run under 10.20's with ease. Car is just limited with the s-trim. I would upgrade, but then I fell into the whole marriage/kids trap.
Now I am back to toy cars and have to take it easy on the big ones.
Thanks,
Russ

Lol Russ I know what you mean. After I sold my 73 z28 that was street strip set up my said no more!!!! Like you I now have reverted back to childhood cars lol. With the right tune even with an s trim you should see a high nine also need to get that 60ft a lil better. You have enough converter?

This is my little escape, lol. It's fun to sit out in the garage with the heater, music, and rc stuff to work on. Winter sucks but having rc's does take the stink out of it....a bit.

We have a cozy track at our local Hobbytown USA. As the participation increases the pit space is getting tight. In response to this I created a nice portable shelving system that folds up night an compact to fit into my storage/travel bags. I even made one for my charger.
The shelves are made from 1/4 aluminum and use carbon fiber braces that I had CNC machined. I prototyped 5 car shelves and 2 charger stands. They will be sent off to be anodized this week. I am polishing up the parts first. I wanted to wait to send them off and give people a chance to custom order the color they wanted. I am doing them in AE blue and Xray orange for now.
On three of the shelves I milled out the middle bits to lighten them up. In solid form they weigh in at 1620 grams. Milled they weight around 790 grams. The shelves have a depth of 5 inches which can accommodate a 10th scale touring car. The body shells do fit when on the shelf you just have to move the car a bit forward on the stand. The spacing is 5 inches between the shelves. The standing height of the shelf is about 15 inches and 16 inches folded flat.
I have a few remaining for sale if you are interested.
Here is a pic of my pit setup. Makes things nice and tidy.
