Questions?? How Can i make my blitz faster

I just reacently purchased a traxxas Velineon system for my HPi blitz. I run a dtx 8.4v 4200mAh NiMH battery. It is fas but not as fast as i want it to be. It also has a short run time the battery drains quickly. I was also wondering in those proline street tire's were any good. And last i was wondering what were the best parts to upgrade to aliminum.

thanks.

My choice would go to 2 cell lipo. With a NIMH batteries you will not get quite enough run time like with a lipo. The only thing is you will need a lipo charger only and the batteries are $$$.

Always try and support a local hobby shop if you have one available. They are pricless in the time of need. Alot of guy's would never get into the hobby if it wasn't for the local hobby shop!

your qwest for speed can be delt with by a 2s lipo or even a 3s lipo something around the 4000 to 5000 mah with at least a 25 c rating. also gear it accordingly so your not getting the motor to hot and pushing your lipos to hard.
next best tires for dirt? are you talking for racing? i would recommend proline caliber m3s, holeshots m3s, these are going to work just about anywhere even clay surfaces. hope this helps

well aluminum upgrade would not make it faster but will stregnthen some parts. Just be careful when you put aluminum parts to replace plastic as to doing this will weaken other parts. For example if you put an aluminum bulkhead on then you risk braking arms faster.
